Anybody use those scent crusher totes for your hunting clothes? Ive seen on some forums where the claim they break easily. Im looking for something realitively cheap to put in my hunting closet to reduce househould scents they pick up. I currently hang everything in there to allow it to dry and be easy to find when getting dressed in the mornings/evenings.

I just use a cheap plastic container wt a lid that seals. From walmart. Seems to work.

Wash your clothes with scent prevention and store with bundles of pine needles in a big plastic container. All you have to do is spray down a bit before you head to the stand. Works Everytime.

Amazon has ozone generators that plug into an outlet that are relatively cheap. You may have to do a little digging to find one that suits your needs. They range from big commercial models to clean car vents to small ones that mount on the outlet like a nightlight.

I wouldn't use pine needles if you don't hunt in pines.

What I do is get a tote from Walmart that is big enough for my bow to go in. Then get a small ozone generator and attach to the top of the tote lid. ozone generator

Hunt the wind. Its a miracle our grandfathers didn't starve to death without all this latest camo, ozone generators, and other "necessary' stuff...... I don't sweat most stuff but I hunt the wind religiously

If there aren't pines, there are probably wax myrtles. Just as good...and a natural mosquito repellant.

I agree with you for the most part, but most of our grandfathers would bust a button buck all the same as a 10pt. Mine damn sure didn't discriminate.

You may get one opportunity at a certain mature buck during the daylight in an entire season, and I hunt the wind as best I can, but I've yet to figure out a way to force them to come out upwind of me. In my experience a mature buck knows better than that anyway and will circle before entering a clearing. So I don't judge anyone for wanting to spend a little more to give themselves an advantage.

Sounds simple enough until you hear that stomp and blow from 20 feet behind you and realize he'll never be back. Like I said, I hunt the wind and keep my phone in my pocket, but sometimes that's not enough.

If you hunt deer, you're "throwing money away". I didn't realize the OB had such a hard line drawn on this topic.

How far away can you possibly be from a pine tree at any given time in the Southeast?

Many places in the Mississippi alluvial plain are void of pine trees (thank goodness).
