Looks like a mix between a dog and a coyote. My aunt had a wolf dog that looked similar

Pretty cool!
I shot one back in December 2020 with my bow. Still waiting on the pelt.
That one is a lot better looking than mine!

Killed one on a woodcock hunt in acadia parish 2001, got a nice little chunk for it. thought it was a dog till i saw front view then boom

Awesome pics.

I was riding the SXS to my stand earlier this season and had a black one sleeping on top of a hay bale in the pasture. He just looked at me and put his head back down like he was gonna finish his nap. Was able to put him in a deep sleep.

We've now got coywolves in Virginia and points north. They'll be in the South before long, if some aren't already here. In general, they are a cross between coyotes and wolves with a little dog thrown in. Bigger than coyotes but smaller than wolves, with characteristics from all three.
