Your father sounds like he was a wonderful person and father. It’s obvious that you and he had a special bond. Thank you for sharing some of your special memories. I’m sure he loved you as much as you loved him. Best wishes to you and your family during this time of loss.

Great post. Your dad seemed like one of the most genuine people on this entire website.

Him and I crossed paths many times over the years. First meeting on this board. I am very sad to hear of his passing, but happy to hear that his pain has passed.

I first ran across your dad nearly 20 years ago on thehulltruth, back when it was just getting started. He was prockvoan on there initially if I remember correctly. Always super helpful and super knowledgeable. Seemed like an absolute one of a kind. Sorry for your loss. From your post it sounds like he was an amazing father.

From one old cat strangler to a young one-
Your Dad will be missed in many ways. He endured. You have been truly blessed. We will continue to mourn his passing.

Fish and I were both in the lumber business. I always enjoyed our discussions about sawmilling, and lumber, and other related topics.

He was always upbeat and positive even in the face of his illness. I never met him, but I will miss him.

Gob bless you.

Daughter,

Heaven is full of pleasures beyond outdoors. We are now the jealous ones as he has a new body and knows no pain.

I always pray for the ones left behind and ask that all read Nehemiah Chapter 8 before reading the New Testament....if you are abridged reader.

I am so sorry for your loss and the world's loss.

I feel like I missed a great opportunity in never getting to meet him.

Condolences to you and your family.

Never met him, but from what I "knew" of him from TD, he seemed like a great guy.
