Any if you suppressor gurus recommend a suppressor for .300 prc? Shot a hog in box stand yesterday afternoon and the windows are still rattling.
Many thanks
Many thanks

Most of the brand name .30 cal suppressors will be rated for almost anything that can fit through the can.
I think this depends on if this is your first can and how many other rifles you have that can be suppressed. I wouldn’t pick an overly overbuilt or heavy bolt/sniper style direct threaded can mainly because I think once you dive into the suppressed world you will want to put them on everything and a direct thread isn’t typically the best thing to do that with.
I’ve shot a bunch through silencerco omega 300, a little through my omega 36m, and a lot through my trash panda.
All three cans will suppress that gun to less than f*** that was loud but I don’t believe any can will be quiet shooting full power hunting loads. Don’t take that to mean cans aren’t worth it because I am absolutely obsessed and don’t have intentions ever shooting unsuppressed it’s just not quiet with supers.
I say determine what matters to you. Length, weight, qd attachment system and then pick from there.
All that said I normally recommend the Nomad Ti or a Trash panda in full size. But this omega 36m really did blow me away with it suppression for how small it is and putting a plan b mount on it it weights the same as my trash panda
I think it’s one of the better looking cans on a hunting rig too.

Thunder Beast Ultra or CGS Hyperion.

Have a thunder chicken on my 300wsm. Very happy with it but if I did it again I’d get the barrel shortened or buy a shorter can. Felt like I was hiking with a cannon on my shoulder in south texas. Also have a trash panda on a 25-06 which is Much more maneuverable. So as another poster said, compare sizes, weights and mounting systems for your intended application.

Thanks to all for the replies. What exactly is plan b mount? I do have an another suppressor on a 6.5 cm AR. It’s a sincerco brand. Don’t remember model though.

If I was getting another, I’d get one with a hub mount on the back. It would probably be a Tbac dominus hub, or magnus hub, or a silencerco scythe if weight was a high priority.

If you have a silencerco can there’s a good chance it is an omega 300 if it uses a muzzle break or flash hider to mount to.
If it’s direct thread throw away what I said.
The plan b mount allows you to take off the asr mount used on many silencerco products and use the cherrybomb brake and mounts from Q. My biggest rec for making the swap is it typically shortens the cans from the stock configuration and you also shed quite a few noticeable ounces.
The plan b let’s me use the Q cherrybomb with my silencerco can do that I can swap suppressors between guns even though one is made by Q and one by silencerco.

Honestly if you already have one on 6.5CM any reason you don’t want to run it in your prc?

I really like my Thunder Chickens ... I have two, one for a MCX in 300 BLK for home defense and the other I'll move it around between a couple of 308s and a 300 PRC.
I've always got my ears on when on the line with the 300 PRC. I don't hunt with it, it's my LR paper puncher. I mean, I guess I would, out west, high desert sheep, elk, pronghorns or something but it's overkill for whiteys down here.
Still, if you can afford it, it is really tough to beat the Thunder Chicken with a cherry bomb. Trash Panda would be my second choice.

Good luck w/ your suppressor search. Like a lot of guys have said, do your independent research. I can't emphasize this too much. I didn't do this w/ my first 30 caliber suppressor; i just went to the local dealer told him needs (something to put on 16" barrel handguns, including 22 Nosler and 284 Winchester to begin w/) and bought what he recommended, a SilencerCo 300 Harvester. It's a nice suppressor, but once I started looking at it's specs, I found out it really didn't meet the standards necessary for the handguns I wanted to use it on. I still run it on 20 VarTarg, 223 Rem Improved and 22 Nosler (not much), but I bought a second 30 cal suppressor that DOES meet my needs, a Dead Air Nomad. I bought it from Silencer Shop and had it delivered to the same local dealer. It's amazing how much it suppresses the 284 Win in a 16" barrel. You're going to get a lot of different recs from us on the OB (after all, who doesn't like their suppressor) so you'll have to decide YOUR personal specs for YOUR suppressor. If you buy from a local dealer, be sure you're not just getting something in stock that he needs to move. I bet there'll be some nice suppressor sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Keep us updated.

Not a whole lot to add other than you’ll definitely want to consider weight and length. For a hunting rig you’re only going to take a shot or two at a time. But you’ll be packing the rifle in and out, trying to maneuver in a stand, tree, whatever. Keep it small and light if possible.
I have a Sandman-L, Trash Panda, and Half Nelson. The Sandman-L may sound the best, but it’s basically useless to me. I NEVER use it. Pretty much hate it lol.
One day I’ll get around to building an 8” 300 Blackout, and then maybe it’ll be useful to me, somewhat, anyway. Would still prefer something lighter and shorter.

Same route I just went, have an Omega for 30 cal but ordered the Magnus HUB. I was thinking the Magnus had a longer minimum barrel restriction that 14.5" for 300 PRC but was wrong. If that's the case that would be the best option, quietest 30 cal can on the market.

The rifles are not at the same place most of the time. I really appreciate your replies. Gonna head to the kiosk tomorrow.

Thanks a bunch. Sure will.

I shot one this summer with a SilencerCo Hybird 46 attached. It made a world of difference shooting suppressed. Definitely tamed both recoil and sound a good bit. I have a few slow motion vids of shooting it with and without the can. It was cool to see the difference.
