Recommendation for a transmission shop in BR to look at my 4x4 system

Lost ability to go into 4x4 a while back. Rarely use it so haven’t done anything about it. In the last few days, the truck has Indicated it shifted into 4x4 high without me doing anything. Has happened twice in last 3 days. Shifts back into 2wd if I engage switchbto 4x4 then back to 4x2. Feel I need to take it in before it leads to something larger of a problem

Is it an F150? If so which year? My 2011 had an electric motor on the outside the transfer case which shifts it. These go bad pretty often. Cost is about $120 and takes 10 mins to change.

You nailed it! It is a 2011 F150!

Clutch. Saved the dude some time and money.

Get it in 2 wheel drive and pull the actuator fuse to keep it from doing that until you get it fixed.

You almost don't even need YouTube. It's basically the easiest fix ever.

My 2010 shows the wrench sign when switching to 4wd, is this the same issue?

If it says "Check 4x4" with the wrench, then probably so. My 2010 just started doing the same thing, but I was thinking it was the vacuum solenoid?
Where is the electric motor located?

Yes. Mine showed the wrench. The motor is hanging on the transfer case. You just crawl under and unbolt it.
