Recommend a tire over the BFG T/A KO?

I'm about to rewheel my Tacoma with a set of all terrain tires and I think I've settled on the BFG KOs. I was going to go for a full M/T, but I'm worried about traction on wet roads and overall shitty ride quality. I bought a set of FJ steelies and I was set on something like this,
but after putting my hands on them I'm afraid the solid lugs will be less than ideal. I still may do it. Right now though, this is the route I'm leaning.
I think even the less aggressive tires will be a huge improvement over this.

I'm running the KOs now on my F250, it's been a good tire but I've ran several mud tires that have lasted as long and the ride quality was as good. My next set will be the Kumho Road Venture. I ran 3 sets of the Kumho M/T on my last half ton truck and they pulled like a tractor tire, there are directional though. As light as a Tacoma is I would run an M/T, but that just my personal preference.

I have the BFG mud terrains on my jeep and like them - I haven't had any traction issues and the ride for me is about the same as the all terrains - they seem to be wearing good as well. Nothing wrong with the ATs or Mud terrains

I have run just about every mud tire out there looking at pipelines and I need a tire that can pull off pavement but wear decent on pavement. This is about the best out there.
I liked the old style better but these are acceptable.

Old style was better on the road and in the mud. New style is only better for the rocks.

I did have the MT KM2s and they were not as good everyday in my opinion than the standard MTs - the KM2s were noisier and didn't wear as well.
I will continue to put the MTs on the jeep.

I have Duratracs on my FJ and love them. Here they are on FJ steelies. (Not my FJ)

They don't make them anymore though...

Did you mean that you WOULD run an M/T tire in a light Tacoma? Sounds like you were setting up to say you wouldn't.

My BFG KM2 tires are good so far. I like em

I've been very pleased with the BFG Rugged Terrains on my TJ. They were a little cheaper than the A/T version, and they did great in the snow and ice, as well as the occasional dirt/mud that they see. I don't do a ton of off roading, but when I've been in the woods they've never missed a beat. Mine are 31x10.50R15s.

Yeah I know. MT puts out some good tires, so I suspect the new ones would be equal or better in the same conditions. They just started producing them the middle of last year, so I haven't had a chance to either see or drive on them.
IIRC, Mickey Thompson tires come with a 30k mile warranty

I'd put a vote in on the Duratracs. A little wider or more loose pattern than BFG K/O AT's, so it's better in the mud. However, I don't feel I've lost any street traction.
