I've used Frank Moore a couple of times. enjoyed both trips. he was really good when i went with a couple of early teen boys, he really seemed to enjoy having kids along and working with them. I have been out with others who just did not want any kids on their boat.

Charlie Thomason like the guy said up there^^^^

Probably one of the top guys in the state, and just an all around cool dude.

Captain charlie Thomason with bayou charters

As others have said in this thread, he is THE best guide in Louisiana. You'll fish with him and actually learn something.

We have a camp down the street from Campo's.

Do you need a guide for the boat, or to find fish.

Because if it is for the fish, you'll be standing in trout as soon as you launch!

Johnny Nunez LINK
Good guy, laid back, catches fish.

Frank Moore is a good fisherman and is intense. It depends on your style if you'd like him. I know people who won't go back with him since he yells at most people when they mess up or lose a fish. Some people enjoy that...

June is the best month overall since you don't have the May wind to deal with and normally don't have the storms too bad yet. Go around the first full moon in june. As it gets hotter late summer, the fish turn on to an early morning bite.

All mentioned so far are good guys. If i'm going for a trout haul in May/June/July I'd go with Kerry Audibert or Johnny Nunez. Frank Moore also catches a ton of fish. Jonathan Sanchez is also good. Charlie is an awesome fisherman but doesn't get into the live bait meat hauls at the rigs so much as the guys listed above. He will, however, teach you an awful lot of how to present plastics, etc. Just depends on what you're going for

I would say Johnny Nunez with fishing magician has got to be one of the best around. We went with him last July and caught like 125 specks and 25 white trout before 9am. And he does that almost every trip during the peak summer time. If you are just looking to smoke some trout and go home, then he is your guy. Now he isn't the friendliest, and will criticize you for messing up, but he is all about serious business. I guess it all depends on what your preference is.
