decided on the LEM #22

I recommend one of the LEM Dual Grind units. LEM Dual Grind

I have the #22, and you almost can't feed meat faster than it can grind. Dual grind eliminates having to grind in 2 sequential grinder plate stages..... grinding, catching in a meat lug, and then feeding it through the grinder again. You can also just "single grind" by placing the "stuffer plate" inline instead of a second grind plate.

Not sure how Wayne Jacobs does it. They may not use any curing method, I don't know. If they were not using nitrites 10 years ago, then I guarantee they have no curing agent (no nitrite nor celery).

From Jacob's (not Wayne Jacob's) website: "Contains Less than 1% Sodium Nitrite (to maintain freshness)" Jacob's

From Wayne Jacob's website: " All smoked items that we offer for shipping are fully cooked and are shelf stable, vacuum sealed, and not refrigerated for up to 10 days from the date of smoke." Wayne Jacob's

I would imagine Wayne Jacob's has some form of nitrite added.

there is no such thing as "no nitrates". The term means they don't add artificial nitrates. Meat has naturally ocurring nitrate. In addition, they can use celery juice/powder (or something similar) as a natural nitrate additive. Some places will also just use more salt (as has been done for the history of meat curing).

They can do this and still call it "nitrate-free" or "uncured."

My guess is that they are using some "natural" nitrate additives and just playing word games.

This! They may add celery juice or powder, which is high in nitrates, they're just playing with words since the nitrates are "natural." For example, the first video linked above uses Sausage Maker Ecocure #2. The ingredients for that product include "Natural Vegetable Extract" which is likely celery powder.
There will be a noticeable difference with the 10 extra ounces hanging off the end of the barrel versus adding weight to the stock (if you want more weight for reduced recoil). Another option would be a suppressor with an integrated muzzle brake. Several companies now make them.

If you want to go down a rabbit hole on YouTube, check out this guy's channel. Aka Shen Jigging
I think he is sponsored by Hearty Rise rods. He puts the equipment through its paces. It's crazy the amount of drag he puts on the big grouper.

Ordered several Proof barrels from them. Great company to work with.

How exactly does the COAL extend past the SAMMI spec without being jammed in the lands? Are the heavier bullets using a different ogive shape that gives you more COAL length with more of a taper while not getting into the lands? I can understand if you have a custom reamer job that gets you a few more thousandths than spec calls for. But using a prefit barrel, I don't think I'd come across this issue.

Tip of the bullet is farther from the ogive compared to another "shorter" bullet. Longer bullets (in general) = higher BC.
My Hawkins Hunter magnum magazine have around 2.985 inches internal length. I load to 2.94 overall length with no issues.
6.5 PRC was developed to be used on a short action. If you plan to shoot long/high BC bullets, you may want to consider going to a medium or even a long action, but that was not the intention in its original design. Competition shooters are wildcatting 6.5 PRC brass to rounds such as 7 PRCW & 7LBB, which use the 6.5 PRC parent brass (because Lapua makes great brass). 7 LBB is the new hot wildcat in the F Class world (1,000 yard), and it is what Erik Cortina (and I think his World Championship team) has been shooting.

Impact 737R fits "Remington 700" design stocks. Just remember to match your stock to the bottom metal (short, medium, long).

If you're using it for hunting, you may want to consider the Hawkins Hunter DBM. Hawkins DBM
Here are the magazines that fit the Hunter DBM: Short Actions: Hawkins Hunter Magazines / AICS 5 and 10 round 308 (3901 – 5 Round / 3902 – 10 Round).
So, you can use the flush mags (should fit 3 rounds of 6.5 PRC in magazine plus one in chamber) or 5/10 round mags.

I found 4 lbs of N550 powder I bought during all the craziness and never used it. Seems to be a little faster burning than H4350 but not a lot of data out there. I found a deal on some 100 grain Hornady CX bullets for my .270 and would like to use this powder for those bullets. Anyone here care to run the numbers for me ?

I can run it. Some key inputs needed if you want accurate outputs:

1. What’s your COL (cartridge overall length)?
2. Barrel length?
3. Fired case water capacity (grains of water)?

It can be run without these parameters but will be much more accurate with them.

it gives you an absurd advantage shooting across ridges and valleys at animals that can't possibly have any idea you are around

I can see the argument that 'extreme long range shots by inexperienced marksmen have a higher chance of crippling game.' But how it be argued that man should not use legal means to ethically kill game that he can legally hunt and paid for the opportunity (license, tag, taxes, etc.)? If modern weapons give too much advantage and decrease game populations, then the allowances can be modified to maintain a healthy herd, or the number of animals allowed to be killed can be reduced (game limits).

Harvest of animals keeps game populations in check to maintain healthy herds. Some would prefer to kill game with more primitive or difficult means (e.g. archery), but it's hard to fault someone who prefers to use modern methods if it means they will take ethical shots within their proven abilities.

Load data is sparse for the 6.5-300 Weatherby. Using Barnes and Weatherby data I have some loads worked up to shoot this weekend. Does anyone here reload and have a pet load for this? At 85-92 grains of powder per trigger pull I sure would love to have a “this is an accurate and fast enough load” starting point. Thanks.

What powder do you have? Here is a table from QuickLoad. I just grabbed a 140 grain Berger bullet to make the table. I can run a model based on the powder & bullet you choose if you'd like.
