Was just discussing them thieving democrats today at work. I figure as bad as it sucks the most they can be eating is a sack of corn a week so roughy 1.12$ per day and if the deer eat two sacks a week then it’s about 33% tax ratio and about what I pay on my paycheck to buy fudge rounds for fattys.
I plan on spending money this week to take some out though.
Edit I didn’t put my camera up crooked them bastads must be using that tree for lounging and sitting on my camera.

Mix vaseline, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes together. Use it to coat the legs.

I use Banks feeders with sleeves. Seems to keep em away.

Dog proof “coon cuff” traps with a little corn, a couple sardines, and couple mini marshmallows in each one work great. Chootem when you see them.

I have had great results with barbed wire rat nest type barriers. It’s pretty satisfying seeing a bunch of coon hair and coon blood on the barbs. It doesn’t take them long to leave the stuff alone.

Those dog proof traps work great.

We wiped out about 15 in less than 2 weeks. Going to work them over hard again in February before turkey season

All you need. Makes a great video plus the satisfaction of seeing their muddy little footprints as high as they can reach from the ground

I smeared axle grease on the legs of mine

I second this. Did it to mine and worked like a charm. Only have to do half the leg too. BUT make sure there are no low hanging branches nearby. I noticed something was still getting my corn. Camera showed the bastards would climb up limbs and small trees. They would weigh it down and grab onto the feeder.

Not surprising at all. Raccoons are pretty damn smart.

Tie wrap some carpet tack strips around the legs

I can verify, don’t waste your money on carpet strips. They figure that out within 10-14 days.
