Been wanting power poles to put on back of boat. Why can't they make a forked version of a single power pole instead of having to buy two? Damn things are expensive!

Because they want you to buy 2. Duh!

I'm for developing this technology. I've wondered the same too.

Hydraulics? check
Electrical? check
Fork? check

Done.

To be honest, I see people use them more at landings than I do actually fishing on a spot or point. I always questioned are they even worth having, besides it looks good!

I would rather an Ultrex than PP or talons these days.

I have 2 Talons; IMO Talons are much better than PP but Talons do cost more

anyone who says a power pole/Talon isn't useful/worth is hasn't ever used one. They are nice! I use mine multiple times a trip every trip.

PP & I-Pilot here, great combination.
Talons are great for the fixit on the fly guys because you will have to eventually.

Same here. Two power poles are no longer needed in my opinion. Spend that extra money on an Ultrex trolling motor.

is it needed? absolutely not.
Is it great to have? absolutely.

But you will most likely lose some top end speed with 2.

I'd get 360 imaging on both ends of the boat and a new imaging chart first before I blew money on power poles. Just my three pennies.

In 2015 I put one power pole on my boat thinking I wanted to save money. This year I decided I wanted the other one but the dealer informed me the system changed and they style is also different. So after a month looking for the old style and striking out I called power pole. They built one for me using the old style so I wouldn't have to buy 2. As far as I'm concerned I'll stick with pp because of the great customer service.

That's customer service! I've heard similar stories about them.

It’s not uncommon for PP CS to respond to threads when someone is having problems with a contact number and name to call. They did for me and overnighted the fix free of charge. They are also a huge supporter of CCA donating a blade pp to each chapter banquet in Merica.

Had the micropole on my kayak malfunction and the entire pole went through the gears and out the bottom gone forever. A few emails and I had a new pole with zero shipping fees at my doorstep.

Raymarine is another company with great customer service.

When I bought my boat it had two power poles. I told myself I'd sell one and put the money back into the boat... Then I went fishing and used both poles. It's amazing. Now I have the I-Pilot to top it off. I would think if you have 1 pole and i-pilot you could hold your place pretty well but pushing a button is nice.

My PPs act up a little bit. Had hydraulic hose blow on one and circuit board act up on another. Guess I need to call them for some good customer service.
