Found a pit boss for my FIL on an auction (it was some Costco returns). They had two pit boss and I was able to get on for him for $250 (I think that’s what it was).
That was about 2 month ago but he hasn’t used it yet.

I’m still happy with my PitBoss, I’ve cooked on it probably 20 or so times so far, no issues. Smoked a brisket a couple weeks back, smoked some ribs, a few chickens, grilled on it, made pizzas. It has a small smoke leak out the top vent and the bottom vent which seems to be common but it’s not enough to talk about, when I shut the vents it still kills the coals out. Bought it from CostCo for $600 and have been very happy with my purchase.

You can get the vision on clearance at sams for $399, at least they have that here locallly.

The local Sams has the Vision currently for $349, that is what I paid for mine there about 3 years ago. Check with your local Sams club. I think they have it for $449 on their website currently.

If you are in the market for a ceramic grill, then make sure you get one that has a lifetime warranty on ceramics. It will crack in time which won’t matter with a warranty. My BGE internal fire basket and base have both cracked. Was given replacement from dealer after providing pics. Worth the extra coin, you are throwing money away without the warranty.

It's why I ended up with a BGE. Local ace hardware compared to a big box store. Paid 800 and built a table, got heat deflector, etc. for like an additional 175. Ace hardware made the sale worth it. They are close, will take a picture from me of any defect and order replacement, delivered, let me borrow a nest while building my table, came back to pick up nest and install in my table, etc. Just great customer service that made me feel more comfortable spending the money. Haven't had to use it yet, but felt better than what I expect to get from Home Depot or Dicks Sporting Goods who were selling the other brands. And since I didn't need the nest and table ends, the price wasnt much different.

Agreed I’d get one with a good warranty. The deals I am offering on Primos still have the standard factory warranty...I’m set up as a dealer. They also come with the heat deflectors and racks on this group buy.
