I am looking to possibly grab a rail mounted light to run on a m&p45 or my vp9.

I want to buy the M&P from deguns (best price) but need a little more in the cart to get free shipping. I have wanted to pick up a flashlight to run on a pistol so what should I look at that DE has.

I don’t want to just get something to just get free shipping. I’d like something good if they have it for a good price.

I love my streamlight TLR-1s.

ETA: pro tip - when the lens gets too much carbon build up from shooting, use a pencil eraser to remove. Best trick available.

SureFire X300U is the standard by which others are judged. I think they cost about as much as the pistol though.

The m&p45 2.0 threaded I’m looking at is 398.99 and they have a $50 rebate on them so the standard price of the x300u is close

The surefire they have are

Xc-b for 299.99, but is this ment for compact guns or it’s just “ultra compact”

X300u 299.99 but the price match price is 197.99 is that a good price?

The stream light they have is the Tlr-7 for 169.99

Best pistol light for the price. I love mine and never had a problem with them.

Before you go to the range put chapstick on the lense and you can wipe all the carbon off when you leave. It’s easier than trying to erase it with an eraser.

Streamlight TLR HL can been had for fairly cheap. They work amazing. Surefire XH35 will probably be my next one.

Been watching some vids and I seem to like the wider beam pattern of that tlr-1 hL vs the X300. Wish deguns carried them. Might have to find something else to get free shipping with.

I have a bunch of TLR-1s, but the Olight PL-Mini looks pretty awesome a low profile.

Masterfire holster. Like a $300 holster. I wouldn't do that. I would just get a company to custom make you a kydex holster for it. Some companies will offering stuff for it soon if they don't already.

Master fire holster clamps to the light and leaves the gun hanging completely free. Goofy looking but it was made for a military group that wanted to be able to carry a pistol with a suppressor attached. The light and holster were built for that.

Interesting.

I skipped a light for now, I’ll look at those master fire holsters for the hell of it but right now I’m thinking the tlr-1 hl.

They had 2 pistols when I started looking then it went to one just now so I just grabbed a 14 round mag and a stun gun...because I always wanted one that got me free shipping and the best price on the pistol. Now they show out of stock.

Thanks!

Got an old TLR1 that’s like 7 years old and still runs great. But got a newer HL model and it dwarfs the old light in output. Both are quite durable though and are excellent bang for buck.

I see one on amazon for 104 with prime shipping. If that a good price for the HL?

I keep a TLR1 on my 19 for nightstand duty. I’ve also used it on my AR for nighttime hogs and it worked fine.

Some folks complain that the HL is too bright for indoor use. I have no personal experience so take it FWIW.

Get the stream light and don’t look back. Excellent light.

Just make sure it is the current model and not one of the older models which could be a reason to get one cheaper than normal.

They got progressively brighter since they came out with them. I believe there have been at least 3 different upgrades to the lumens level. My first one was only around 80 lumens. The second one I bought was 120 lumens. They look exactly the same. The new ones are way brighter.

I was wondering about close range indoor brightness. I figure if the HL is too bright once I fool around with it I could run it on a AR for pig duty or something else.

That’s my goal is night stand kinda duty. That and I been gong back to work a night and it can get dark around the building.
