yeah, i'm not liking that last statement.

quote:

However, FTB cannot recommend using a weapon (or weapon accessory) in a manner not intended by the manufacturer.”

that could literally mean anything.

You get it. The weak who quibble over legality of a brace or FRT or barrel length are just conditioned sheeple.

2nd Amendment states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”

What gun laws existed at that time? NONE. If you owned a howitzer or a 1000 rifles, the govt could care less - as it should today.

Such weak people have allowed this erosion of rights…if you look at the arbiters of your rights as an obese draft-dodger gleefully celebrating the death of others or his predecessor who couldn’t put a paragraph together while licking ice cream in his Depends, than you deserve to be ruled by clowns.

That vagueness is exactly why the ATF will have trouble following through on enforcement actions and then defending them in court. This has already played out for them and ended badly, now they have the deck stacked against them even more.

only if you get "caught", and are subject to the DOJ's opinions on the matter of which you got caught. some people in this thread think they're immune to those things though...

you're probably fine.

update from ~2 hrs ago:

update starts at ~4:38 but if you need the history on ATF and braces watch the full video

short version: there appears to be a clarification from ATF coming soon and probably revolves around braces that were modified beyond the original manufacturers intent

Recommendations for a quiet 22lr suppressor. My Banish 22 isn't very quiet.

Q El Camino and rugged oculus. I have both of these. They’re very good.

Dead Air Mask, Cat Ben 22, Thunderbeast Takedown and Otter Creek TI .22 are all supposed to be very good. Only heard the mask personally of those though.

The silver lining about the ATF flip-flopping so much on this issue is that there are certainly enough "short-barreled" braced ARs to meet the common use standard in Heller, which should alone be enough to strike down the NFA's barrel length restriction.

So basically right now either 1) the ATF lets the issue go and we continue tap-dancing around an arcane law by using "pistol braces", or 2) the ATF goes hard after pistol braces, and ends up nullifying at least part of the NFA in the process.

given their current situation regarding all of the registrations going on with the $0 tax, i'm sure they'd love nothing more.

And like all other opinions they’ve given on this ridiculous regulation- I’ll be ignoring it
