Now I dont spear fish but the last thing I would want while diving in the ocean is getting wrapped up in fishing line

We do this most of the time when freediving. We dive inside the rig so you're never really around the fishing lines. A couple of the guys that like to come aren't divers so they fish while we dive

Well this is a spar so no legs to hide in but I guess they were probably right up on it, well except for the guy who got taken by the current.

On the way back in from MP300, we stopped out at the MRGO rocks yesterday evening trying to catch a few trout/redfish, but the current was ripping around the rocks so fast it made it "difficult" to say the least. Be careful out there.

Ah, I'm not messing with that when the current is ripping. Need something to get behind

Yea if current is bad and we do dive, I go to a multi platform rig and dive on the upcurrent one. Just in case something happened, and got pulled off the first rig, current take you to the next one.

Man, the thought of losing a diver like this just makes me sick....and it sounds like it almost happened.

I understand that they just had services for the diver from Alexandria that went missing a few weeks back.
