Anyone for this is simply not looking big picture. TL;DR, criminals will still break the law. More laws won't change that.
This is just as unacceptable as any other measure.

I agree completely. And that's where I'm was going with that. That and so many states have pretty lax requirement to get a cc permit. Look at MS. All you have to do is go to the local sheriff's office and get one. They run a background check and you're done. In TN you have to take a handgun course with a shooting test (basically to show that you know how you shoot a gun at a target).

The reason i wont get a CC permit is because I dont want to be on any list

Ahh..gotcha, dont know how I missed that, I read it 3 times.
Whats the purpose of this then, if it really doesn't change anything?
Or is there some govt definition of "other individuals"?

expand background checks for commercial gun purchases — including those at gun shows and online —
Who honestly thinks these don't exist already? Let me make it clear for anyone that doesn't already know:
Gun shows have background checks.
Gun shows have background checks.
Gun shows have background checks.
Online purchases must go through an FFL, aka you go through a background check.

The coordination of private sales by use of the internet is NOT an internet sale. The transaction still happens in person.
Holy fricking shite people are stupid.

Which is why I just posted the C. Noir video, not only here, but on FB and Twitter. The public is just fed misinformation and accept it as truth

I used to feel the same way....."How stupid and uninformed can the gun grabbing politicians and liberal media be?!!" Now, I'm beginning to think otherwise. I think many on the left KNOWINGLY speak half-truths in an effort to further their anti Second Amendment agenda. I think they actual realize that the only exception to background checks is the individual to individual sale, but continue to harp on the "gun show loophole" because the public in general doesn't know any better and believes anything they hear.

Not entirely correct: If individuals list guns for sale on a site (like Armslist) and sell to another individual in the same state no FFL is involved.

Not near as bad a I thought. I may actually be for this. Gotta mull it over.
Questions to ask yourself:
How would this have stopped the Sandy Hook crime?
How will this stop criminals?

The devil's in the details. Wait until the actual bill text is published before you form your opinions. These summary texts are beyond worthless. Compare Feinstein's summary with the actual bill. Also, see Obamacare ... but I guess they gotta pass it to see what's in it?

Missed that part of your post.
My understanding is that under the legislation being considered any sale involving the internet / email would be an 'internet sale' and require a background check.

They want your guns. They have openly admitted that. Any step is still a step towards confiscation. They will take any concession we give them. Molon Labe MFers

All this is just a diversion so people are upset at something other than the amount of taxes they paid. As with all new legislation follow the money.
