My 22' hydra sport goes 49mph with 80 gallons of gas with that 200 merc. Love it.

Kenner 23v w/ 200ho etech loaded down 100 gallons of gas 3 fat dudes ~ 300 quarts of ice headed out of belle pass, 45mph
200ho etech is an absolute monster of a 200.

I had a 200HP Ram (Ficht) on my 20’ Hydrasport Ocean Skiff, and it would push me into the mid-50’s. Until the powerhead blew. I bought that when I was running downriver fishing Venice, now, fishing almost exclusively out of Fourchon, reliability and torque are way more important than top end. And switching to a 4 stroke, I had to get the 4 cylinder version because of weight. Happy with my research and choice, not happy it looks like it will be 2022 before I get to try it.

Yamaha 225 is essentially what the 200 was 10 years ago

23' bay bloat with 5 adults and loaded will easily cruise at 41mph (5400rpm).
Man there ain't shite wrong with that. From talking to people I know with them, it sounded like 35mph would be screaming on a 22' boat
My F150XB pushes my 23ft boat nearly 48mph with 2 people loaded out for fishing. That includes 4 batteries and 2 poles and the 36v trolling motor. The 200 is only going to push it faster.

My suzuki 150 pushes my Frontier 2104 near 50. With T-top 44mph. There's a baw around here with a SHO on his frontier and it flies. I think he might have said 60 or 70 mph

Not a 150 SHO...Maybe the V6 200 pushes it to 60, the frontier is a pretty fast hull for a fiberglass boat, but you can't defy physics.

200 SHO. He gets 60mph fully loaded. Not flashed. I kinda want one.

I’ve got a Suzuki 200 and I love it. It’s not a speed demon but it throws a much larger prop and has a ton of torque. It throws my boat on plane like it’s nothing. That’s including a loaded down boat with people and gear. Bought it first part of 2020 for $15K.

I have a 2018 suzuki 200 4 stroke....6 year warranty...
All newer motors these days comes with a warranty...do your maintenance as your supposed to and your motor will be fine. Only down fall is I need a new mechanic because he doesn't work on suzuki motors....I used to have mercury...he is a dam good mechanic
