Are you thinking of Sabre Defense? I hadn't heard that about Stag.

Not sure I was correct in it shutting down.

It was forced to sell because of a number of violations. The original owner can no longer own any type of firearm manufacturing business.

Hmmmmm....... Never knew they went out of business. Only big news about them that I know of is that they just recently relocated to Wyoming from Connecticut. Did find on the Wiki that in 2015 the CEO got in trouble and was forced to divest from the company. Guessing that's what everyone might be referring to? Either way, I have liked everything that I have got from them being a left handed shooter with the many left handed offerings they have.

Need help on where to mount my flashlight for my AR 15. All of this is new to me. DD 18.5 inch with lpvo. For my light I will buy a modlite plh v2 and modlite mod button.

From my research I can buy mounts that are: Offset, In-line, and Side.

What do I need and where do I mount it?

What kind of rail system do you have? I put my modlite as close to the rail as possible to reduce snags. Most people are using Arisaka mounts for the modlites. I went with the side mount 45" so it tucks the light into the rail. Like the second one in this pic.

I've also used the BCM mount and I like that just as much as the arisaka maybe better.

Do I need to buy a DS00 weapon light waterproof tail switch for my modlite?

I was watching a review of the modlites on YouTube and the guy had this DS00 on his modlite.

That tailcap allows you to run a external switch/button. Most people who do that have the light on the right side of the rail and put a hot button or modbutton in a more accessible spot to activate the light. I run the Z68 tailcap with the light on the left side. I can easily activate the light with my support hand and I don't have to have the additional wires/button.

If I were to run a IR laser and light I would go with the DS00 tailcap and have the Unity TAPS switch to activate light and laser in the same spot. I just don't have a need for a laser at the moment.

Any of y'all ever used a Grey Ghost Precision (GGP) forged lower? My local shop just got some in. Apparently they've been sold out for months.

Just wondering if I should jump on it while they're there.

Need suppressor recs for an 10.5 5.56

I know its been talked about ad nauseam in this thread, but its hard to search for specific recs and my bookmarks are a clusterfrick. I know a couple posters have very strong opinions on a few suppressor companies so lets hear them!

Thanks

There are so many options these days and most reputable companies are all putting out good stuff. I personally like SilencerCo. I have a old saker 762 on my 10.5" 556 and it's nice, but it's a little heavy compared to other suppressors. I played with a buddies 36M, and now I'm probably going to get one of those.

ETA: Just went and bought the 36M from Interstate guns. Played with several different brands (dead air, Q, Sig, and Griffin) and decided on the 36M. The weight and modularity sold me. Now the wait.

Bullet proof cans (others can add more) are surefire, dead air sandman, and Thunderbeast Dominus.

I have a Sandman in jail now.
Also have a Q thunder chicken and a YHM phantom (old).

Anyone have experience with the Thunder Chicken or Trash Panda suppressors from Q?

I'm very close to buying a SOCOM SB for my 10.5 pistol just based on long term reviews and reputation, but the stuff Q is putting out is super interesting to me.

So I mounted my flashlight to the right side of my AR barrel. Where should I put the pressure switch? On top of the picatinny rail or on the side by the flashlight using the MLOK?

Why does there have to be so many choices for everything. Great for some but not so much for rookies.
