I would consider that for an ultralight build or pistol, but not for anything else.

Not a bad option for a bedside SBR, either.

Like what everyone else has said, Aimpoint. I would also recommend the Trijicon MRO.

Should've clarified. That's exactly what it is. Lightweight SBR build so I was leaning RMR with the scalarworks leap mount

Aimpoint is 4.6 oz vs 1.2 oz of RMR. 3.4 ounces is negligible and the aimpoint is just objectively better for a defensive weapon. Scalarworks is an awesome mount. It's what I use on my Aimpoint Comp m5.

I have an Aimpoint T2 on my bedside SBR and it's been fantastic. That'd be my recommendation. The RMR isn't bad, but Aimpoint and Surefire are on all of my "duty" weapons for a reason.

Stamp on my Omega finally came in

That Omega brake is just about the same weight as the flat cap on my hybrid...didn’t see that coming.

this isn't a troll, i really want to know. how do you guys feel about the gov't knowing what you have with all of these NFA items you guys are buying? i've been on the fence about a silencer for awhile. is it worth it?

i can just see an ATF agent knocking on my door asking to see it and then notices and starts questioning everything else i own. not that any of it's illegal. i just don't know if i want that kind of stress in my life.

I feel the NFA infringes the 2nd amendment and is unconstitutional. Having said that, if the goverment wants to come after you there are easier ways than NFA items. I mean everyone, well most everyone, files taxes. They is the easiest and quickest way to "go after" someone. So no im not worried about that. and really i believe there would be a military coup d'etat before the government fully goes after guns.

would there ever be a reason as to why an agent would need to "verify" or "inspect" the item in question? i haven't heard of this happening to anyone. just curious as to the possibility.

as far as gun grabbing, they could definitely use the NFA registry to confiscate those items because it's a felony to sell them without their consent. so you better have them in your possession. the form 4473 items would be a little bit harder to confiscate.

In the highly unlikely event they do come knocking. You don't have to show them all your guns, just the NFA item in question.

Then what is the problem? If you are legal then you are legal. Who cares.

You get stressed too easy. It's a suppressor. There are hundreds of thousands out there. Nobody really cares about them anymore. Just do it legally and don't worry about it.

With the wrong administration, I'd hope we all care.

Very unlikely. From what I understand the only time one would verify would be if an agent personally sees you with it. Also, from what I understand, regular law enforcement can't verify ownership with stamps. They would have to call in a NFA agent to verify.

i can see them saying, "why didn't you report it to us?"

i guess this can also happen if you accidentally destroy a silencer with a stray bullet or blow out your SBR/SBS with faulty reloaded ammunition. what are you supposed to do in these instances?

It's the lower that is the "SBR". The likelyhood that could happen is so low I don't concern myself with.

That being said, the difference between shoot a gun suppressed and not suppressed makes all the difference to me. I can't envision ever not having some. I don't know why or how you would sell one.

Someone near me is selling a Colt 6920 with all the Magpul crap and an Aimpoint PRO for only $900. I already have both but this is really tempting.

Check was cashed first week of May 2018.

This. I also like have a boom stick that sends the concussions but even supersonic ammo through a can makes no ears bearable or safe. So now when I hunt thats one less thing I need to drag to the stand.

I have a SBR and that form to cross state lines question. If I have a sbr and something comes up last min so no time to file said form could I just swap the pistol brace back on? Kinda thinking no...but if you do the reverse and stick a stock on the "pistol" it magically becomes a SBR.

One could always have a spare pistol lower setup like the SBR lower and then you could put the upper on the pistol and roll out if its last min. If thats the firearms you really want to take.
