Look at Surefire Fury lights, though i dont think all the models are firearm rated

Budget red dots are Aimpoint Pro models, Primary Arms, Vortex

I just got a Bushnel T25 from ebay for about 67$ to try out.

Never looked at the MRO. I have a astigmatism that messes with the red dots pretty bad so I dont want to spend a bunch on one. My eotech is not as bad for whatever reason. This bushnell seemed ok.

Check out primary arms lights. My PA light is brighter than my Surefire and it was 1/7th the price (of course my PA doesn't have an IR function either )

I think it is ok. I hate how it looks. I do like how the FOV is huge on it. I hear complaints that it does have slight magnification. For the $385 that you can sometime find it at, I would say grab one.

I have the same issue, everyone says EOTech is the way to go, for some reason the holo sight doesnt blur like the dots do.

I still have an Aimpoint T1
The lowest budget red dot I owuld rec would be the Primary Arms Microdot, just personal preference though

Brightness isnt necessarily everything, if its a light for home defense, you typically dont want anything over 200 or so lumens, the glare from the walls can blind the user as well.

I will def look into them though, thanks for the heads up

Also, INFORCE WML are fantastic lights, I cant believe I left those out. Lanbos Armory has a great sale on them right now, $108 after you add to cart

Yea no idea why my eotec doesnt...well it does but its very faint. But with the refund they are offering I think I will send it back and get enough bushnell t25s to cover all my guns rather than 1 With the t25 if I turn the brightness down indoors its not as bad and outdoors its ok. I had tried the aimpoint pro a while back and said im not paying that much for a messed up dot and went eotech.

For HD/SD I see no reason to get anything other than an Aimpoint ACO or PRO, if you're on a budget.

If you just want to shoot dirt, buy a cheap RDS.

As far as lights go, I'd take a good look at Arisaka Defense and the new Streamlight offerings. SureFire is an obvious choice.

Run - prop is our local expert on these things as he manufactures them for sale.

Just FYI.

Thanks for contributing, I'm always facinated by how much I don't know even though I've built 4 of these things.

Roger that.

Prop is obviously very knowledgable; no doubt about that.

I think, perhaps, there is some communication breakdown due to the nature of online forums.

Not here to bicker.

We need to stick together, especially during time like these.

streamlight protac

I just bought one of these as few weeks ago. It's built like the surefire scout. It even fits on Scouthe mounts. It's 350 lumens light and tough. Whole package is $110

I just finished installing the Bushnell T25 to the build I finished this past weekend, it was recommended by a friend for a budget red dot. One day i'll fork over the money for an EOTech but this will do for now.

I was going to buy an aimpoint with all this overtime I'm working, but after Sunday I'm investing in some plates I can put in my vest to stop rifle rounds.

Are you LEO?

I couldn't find Velocity System plates in stock anywhere.

These look good:

Hoplite Armor

The owner is super cool/nice and will answer all your questions should you have any.
