My man. Great choice. I love mine

I'm going to go with a chrome lined next and compare the accuracy between the two. If it's only .2-.3MOA difference or something, I'll stick with chrome lined in the future for the extra barrel life

Last purchase for my SBR is the handguard. I've narrowed it down to SLR Solo lite or SLR Ion lite.. MLOK On either.

Solo lite

ion lite

Just picked up an 8" helix Mlok for my 300 BO. The spikes rail is just too heavy.

Appreciate all the help. I pretty much have all I need for my SBR now.

Spikes hellbreaker lower
Spikes billet upper receiver
Spikes nickel boron BCG
Noveske 10.5" barrel (with gas block)
SLR 9.7" solo lite MLOK
Bravo company charging handle

To be accompanied by SiCo hybrid once she's outta jail.

A year ago or so, I started a budget/entry level build and assembled a complete AR lower. I now want to get an upper to finish this thing.

I am wanting a 16" barrel with a mid length gas system but would like a low profile gas block so I could add a Fortis Rev II M-LOK rail.

I'd really just prefer to purchase a complete or mostly complete upper instead of assembling it but would be open to both options. Any advice on the most cost effective way to achieve this setup?

PSA seems to sell some nice budget complete uppers for decent prices but I would have to remove the standard front sight/gas block and handguard and replace with the low profile gas block in order to install the Fortis rail.

Or, I've seen these two options on Red Barn Armory that would get me where I want to be but both are currently showing as Out of Stock.

Any other options out there similar to these that would be worth looking at?

What do you guys think?

I've got a budget PSA 16" mid length currently. Have a stripped lower and ready to start buying parts for a quality build. Thinking either a lightweight 16" carbine or a full 20" scoped.

Also I plan to get a 16" 300BLK upper for this at some point

I went ahead and ordered everything to complete my upper, my buddy offered to help guide me through the upper assembly process. I can't wait to get everything in and get it together, this will be my first AR. I will post up some pictures when it is done.

Lower:
- Anderson Lower Receiver
- PSA Lower Parts Kit
- ALG Defense QMS Trigger
- Magpul MOE Grip and Stock

Upper
- Anderson Upper Receiver & Parts Kit
- Faxon 16" 5.56 Pencil Profile Barrel
- Fortis Rev II M-Lok 12" Rail
- YHM Phantom 5C2 Flash Hider
- AIM Surplus BCG
- Strike Industries Charging Handle

I also picked up a 10 pack of Magpul PMAG Gen M3.
