Should tell him that guns lose their values as soon as you walk out the door. It is used. ARs are really not worth much these days due to the negativity towards guns lately. People just don't buy them any more.
That being said I'll offer 200 bucks since you are a good guy
Nah, I'll ask what he wants for it.
It just pisses me off that a sales man would do this. The guy was looking for home protection not range shooting or hunting. The man's life is what he wanted protection for and this is what was sold to him. Was funny but sad to hear him explain what he had and why he had it. He tried to sell it on the reasons it was sold to him.

I don't understand how in this age of information and technology that folks still depend on a salesman behind the counter of a big box store to give them the right information. Chances are the guy behind the counter is paid poorly and just wants to make a sale for a commission bump.
Google, at the very least, can be your best friend with instances like this. I will also add that I would never recommend someone to just walk in to buy a lifesaving tool without putting in due diligence to get the right product. Had your friend ever even shot an AR before he bought? Not being at least somewhat familiar with a firearm can get you or someone you love hurt badly or even killed with this type of behavior.
Case in point I had a neighbor who had bought a new pistol. Only had owned a revolver and shotgun in the past. He brings it over to show me his new piece. He ejects the mag and tells me it's unloaded and to check it out. I pick it up and perform a clear check. Yeah, there was one in the chamber. I jumped on his arse about being negligent and careless. He felt like shite I'm sure but it would have been worse had his child or wife shot themselves and died because of his frick up. He learned a valuable lesson that day but I did as well. People are stupid.
Never stop learning. Never get complacent. Now go buy that AR and put it to good use.

Good. Feelings should be the least of anyone's concerns when it comes to firearm safety.

Do y'all carry Magpul BEV blocks by chance?

This guy at bowies sold me a bushmaster AR for $1500. Said it was exactly what the Navy seals used when they killed Osama. It was worth the money because it has tons of rails to add accessories to.

Did he touch you in your "no no" spot? Because if he didn't, it wasn't Carson.

Yall ever get those magpul glock mags in? I need a few more, so far so good on the ones I bought online.
Let me know next time you sign up for a class, in particular a pistol class.

How are those? I've only ran OEM because I'm using these everyday with my life on the line so I prefer Glock OEM. Ive always wondered.

I hear plenty of reviews saying they kinda suck.
Posted on 3/7/16 at 3:36 pm to ChatRabbit77
They were breaking when first released, they updated them. LINK
Review of updated mags
Here's a review of the pre recall magazines, still favorable
torture test from December, I assume the updated versions
Here's a thread on survivalist that has stayed updated, I don't follow survivalist often so unsure how legit
Here's the announcement thread on m4carbine, it has stayed updated throughout the past year
I've shot a good bit through the 2 I have and have not had any problems. I try to go to the range once a week and get 100 rounds down range, these have been my range mags for several months. I was initially skeptical once I heard about the issues but I saw that magpul has fixed the problem, so in my opinion they are GTG. Maybe someone else has a different experience but mine has been positive.

For what they cost, I just stick with Glock mags. Now, if they released a 32 rounder for my Ar9, I'd buy. But that's a pinker gun too.

If anyone is looking for a quality (1x) optic, I just got the new Vortex Spitfire and it's pretty awesome.
It's a prism Red/Green Dot. It has an etched reticle so even with a dead battery you have the black ring/dot showing. Red/Green lighting is crisp and doesn't bleed at all. Supposed to be a good optic for people with an astigmatism. 3MOA dot in the center.

I haven't got my hands one one yet but I'm intrigued. I was leaning towards getting 3x version with a QD mount (if they make one?) and I know just came out with an "AR" style.
Spitfire AR

Yeah the 3X looks nice as well. I ended up going with the regular 1x non-AR version since I'm using it on my 9mm CZ Scorpion. If it was for an AR I would go with the 3x version probably.
The one I got feels very solid though. 2 mounting height options with a removable riser. Only complaint is the lens caps, which always seem to be loose other that aftermarket caps.

Good to hear. I'm torn.
I prefer the DRT reticle over the EBR. But I believe you can't use magnifiers on the prism scopes. Could be wrong.

That's the old vortex Spitfire 1x. I tried to order that one but they only sell the *NEW* Spitfire AR 1x to LE/MIL now. I'm excited can't wait and with 40% off its hard to beat. It's shipping in early May late April supposedly.
I got the etched glass Prism scope for my astigmatism, but nervous about the 3.8" eye relief as everything I've used in the past EOtech/Aimpoint was unlimited.

Well I just ordered mine last Friday from optics planet
I prefer the knob for the illumination (old version) as opposed to the up/down buttons (new). I do like that the new AR version uses a AAA battery though
If you wanna get me 40% off the AR version with your discount that would be cool too
