Anyone know of any local classifieds or website that sells AR's? I only know of sportsman, and wtf happened to bayoushooter?? It used to have a lot of traffic

Try some of the Facebook groups, Baton Rouge, LA Gun Trader and Guns on DA Bayou. Bayoushooter went through a regime change a couple years ago. The new Admins changed some things and added some rules that a lot of people didn't like and regular posters started dropping off. It still has a decent classifieds section, but it used to be way more active.

Beware the secondary market for ARs. I see a lot of these rifles that have been fingered or built by Bubba and redneck engineering and rifles don't mix. Really, where the market is right now you can get one from the factory or build yourself for the same price.

Just an FYI, the shop will be closed next weekend as well, but I will be setup at the Kenner Bruh gun show all weekend.

That sucks I'll be driving through BR on Friday, but probably won't be getting in until 7pm.

I was wondering why it had gotten so shitty. Site blows now

I try to do the FB groups but the people on them are insufferable. Rife with low-rent trash

Very true. Cheaper Lower and more expensive upper is an option. Nothing wrong with Aero though. BCM is an expensive complete lower but the quality is there.

What did he want. .223 wylde is both 556 and .223 capable. There is no .223 wylde cartridge.

Say I got an Aero lower. What LPK would you suggest? I've heard people suggest Daniel Defense LPK

Yup. Use Daniel. Any LPK is good except for Anderson honestly. Anderson has had a ton of out of spec LPKs.

I see those uppers don't come with a charging handle. That's pretty inexpensive right?

You're going to need a bolt carrier group with those uppers as well.

Didn't even notice that. Then I would go PSA complete lower and add a bcg and ch to that upper. Should still be less than 1k.

Building an AR-10.

Would y'all suggest a 20" or 24" barrel?

Bravo company lpk

Bcm recently began putting out a lpk with an enhanced trigger and their pistol grip. I would use the bcm before the dd since the pistol grip and trigger are basically upgrades for the same price.

If you got to Redbarnarmory, you have some choices to fill out the LPK - particularly if you know you want a particular pistol grip, safety selector, even takedown pin sets.

I wish there were more options like this - heck I wish BCM and PSA did this, rather than offer a bunch of configurations they want to push with their lowers.

Build your own LPK

20. 24 inch will not increase enough velocity to be worth the extra length.
