Heading down to the big bend this weekend to scope some green fish. Wow hydrylla & grass are loaded up south from the rumors I’m hearing. Can anyone say… charterbate?

Let’s make this thread great again

I wouldn’t say loaded up, but there is more grass right now than there has been since about 2017. The chatterbait and trap bite is getting good.

Looks like weather is going to suck on Saturday.

We caught a good mess of perch on stumps up north a couple weekends ago.

Glad to hear the grass is coming back! Sounds like its time to start going back to the big lake!

If the extreme south gets grass again... oh boy. I used to have 100 perch days on the deep grass edges and had numerous doubles on a double jig rig.

Sunday evening, we were 2 shy of a 2 man limit of keepers on good ole traps on the grass line. I was throwing an ole one knocker in TB gold and back of the boat was throwing Bill Lewis Tiger Craw. Can't say either one was better we caught a bunch of fish on both. Probably 30-35 fish total. Slow Slow retrieve let it get deeper

Wish the lake could come up a couple of feet in the next few months. Love fishing camp yards around the gnomes and swings.

That is fun. I've had some great days over people's St. Augustine.

We have our big group weekend trip planned from March 23rd to March 26th.

I hope to get down there and fish some before then, but I'll also be pulling to Fork quite a few times since the home base is in Shreveport.

I just pulled the cover off my boat yesterday and started charging batteries.

My plan is Saturday morning start out on the edge of the grass fields launching chatters & scatters.

Once I have a nice limit in the box, I will move into the grass fields…. Can anyone say PUNCH BITE?!?!?

Don't get my hopes up. I'm thinking sporadic at best.
