I have 2 AKs one wasr10 im keeping with the original blondish wood. My C39v2 I wanted to get the magpull stuff like there folding stock, short hand guard, and pistol grip. I was debating black or there new space grey to have something different but then I came across this one. They dye the FDE to this color...kinda looks like wood magpull stuff. This is not the folding stock but Whachall think?

I would rock it then. You get the looks of the wood furniture with the functionality of the magpul gear.

What do you think short vs longer hand guard out of curiosity.

I'm a fan of the short one. Never been a huge fan of long handguards though, even on an AR.

I'm a wood only guy on AKs.

But. I actually like that in that color. I'd do it on a spare AK

Looks like a GI Joe toy gun I had in the mid-80's.

If you like it, go for it. Like someone once told me, "that's why they make chocolate and vanilla."

Phase 1 complete. Took 3 fricken hours tho. Had to do some trimming and there was a learning curve....but I got it! Next will be to send off for the dye job.

Now I just need to install them back on. The color matches pretty close from part to part. It's all not 100% but pretty good...if imagin some plastics take on the dye differently. I'm pleased doe

I never liked plastic on an AK

But.

This looks good. I like it and the color. Wouldn't mind adding a third to my ak collection like this
