If anyone in NWLA is looking to hire a 30 year old CM student, I have resume and references ready to fire off.

Making an industry change and just looking for an entry level position. I have been putting myself out there with no bites, wondering if a recruiter would be a wise choice.

Are we talking LA delta? North like east of Monroe or south around Monterey?

Also I am assuming that AG degree is needed?

I had ziprecruiter for about a week and a half. Didn't see anything more than indeed, and got tired of the incessant emails, so I ditched it. Same with Monster, but they had less job postings and sent me obtuse jobs from all around the country.

The first place I always look is Indeed

For you youngsters in school for engineering, Weyerhaeuser is looking for summer interns at mills in MS and AR. They don't have a minimum GPA requirement. Not sure if I'll even apply because I am thinking about taking a summer class. If so, you baws are gonna have some tough competition

I'm not happy with my current job, but haven't found a suitable ME internship around New Orleans in a year and a half of looking. Been trying to get Audubon Parks to hire me, but they don't have an internship program for engineers.

Just got into Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering masters program at UNO

Graduating in Petroleum in May. Might have to check out Weyerhaeuser for that internship for a summer job

It's tough man. You kinda get in the position of either taking something that goes down the wrong career path, or waiting for something good. I'm just doing basic fabrication and finish carpentry right now

If you stick with NAME, I might be able to hook you up with some local job options after you're done. My family has been in the ship engine/rigging biz for a while. A lot of the guys who start in NAME switch to ME.

I need an entry-mid level biologist/forester/env engineer interested in becoming a bad arse consultant with a boss that doesn't show up before 10am during turkey season. Must have a degree, be wicked smart, have a hunting lease and/or boat, drink beer, and be willing to work out of town a couple days each month.

That would be sweet. My neighbor owns a ship building company and doesn't have a son so I'm hoping to hop in there and take over the business one day

didnt you get a masters in civil? what was the focus in?

for people looking for work, have you thought of leaving LA for a short period of time and getting good experience elsewhere then going back?
