re: Home Gym Workout Routine

I know I am not getting enough food as you mentioned and am trying to focus on getting the daily protein. It is a struggle trying to figure out what to eat to reach daily goals as we typically are trying to cook a meal to feed 3 young kids who are picky right now.

Any helpful snacks, meals, etc that helped you?

Where can I find the grey skull template?

I thought about doing Grasshopper now that I just got my barbell set but wasn’t sure if needed anything else.

Home Gym Workout Routine

Posted by Ol Gregg on 4/12/23 at 9:45 am
I just updated my garage gym and looking to start a new routine. I struggle to just make up workouts and need a set guideline to keep on track. I just finished doing DB strength since I only had adjustable dumbbells.

I am 5’9” and weigh 150 lbs. I have always struggled to put on a lot of muscle mass but would like to push myself now.

Current home gym set up:
Adjustable DB set
Barbell with 300lbs of weight
Half rack
Pull up bar
25lb kettlebells

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

re: Need help finding 7mm 08 ammo

Simmons Sporting Goods is where I just bought a few boxes of the Hornady custom lite ammo. First time I have seen this ammo available online in a long time. Also have some other options too
Main gun I am trying to do is 35 Whelen. The CVA Scout V2 comes threaded but it’s 16mm x 1 which doesn’t help for my new suppressor. Will have to cut off thread and re thread.

Also have a savage axis that picked up cheap that want to thread as well
Any idea if that is who Rustic Renegade uses? They said they use some there but didn’t know name.

Lafayette Gunsmith - Barrel Threading

Looking for a reputable gunsmith in Lafayette area who can thread barrels for suppressor. There seems to be a lot of people with lathe machines these days but want to make sure it is done right by someone.

Guess at this point I just need to see what I can even find in stock and try and decide. Anyone have experience shooting a 35 whelen suppressed to see if makes good difference?

Chat, do you have any suggestions for one? I know you are big on CGS but seems like for what I am looking for I am limited. Wanted something I could use on 35 whelen and other hunting rifles I have as well.

SilencerCo Omega 36M

I am looking into the Omega 36M as a good “all around” suppressor but more specially can use on my 35 whelen. Any thoughts on this or any others can be used on large bore calibers like the 35?

I already have a Silencerco Sparrow for my .22, .17, and 5.7 and AWC 5.56

Preferred Ammo for CVA Scout 35 Whelen

Bought a Scout V2 35 whelen and just curious what ammo shoots best out these guns. I know you can’t find ammo but just want to know what to keep an eye out for since don’t need ammo with season done. 180 Barnes, 200 Barnes, 200 Accubond?

re: New Custom Build What Caliber Rifle?

Posted by Ol Gregg on 7/27/20 at 4:04 pm to
I want to get a lighter weight back country type gun and want caliber that is good all around. This gun weighs less than 6lbs and doesn’t have the backcountry price tag.

I honestly haven’t decided what caliber I want and just trying to figure out. My current calibers are .243, 7mm-08, 30-06, 300WSM.

Was curious if anyone had any experience with those calibers or suggestions for what would be ideal in a gun mainly used for whitetail but has the power for elk since would be a good gun to hike with.
I am currently looking really hard at the Mark V Wewthermark LT but can’t decide on what caliber to get. Anyone have any thoughts on 6.5 Wby RPM or 6.5-300?

Anyone ever buy apple watch from Ebay? Only place I can find the rose gold one. Scares me that it says open box on all of them even though seller has good reviews.
Camlocker tool boxes. I know a lot of people that have them and all love them. They are felt lined on the inside and are very well made. Also have T handles which are much easier to open.

re: Suppressing a rifle

I have a browning buckmark rifle that I got threaded a few years back from Acadiana Gun Works in Scott. I believe it was $75 to thread my barrel.

The loudest part of my shot with suppressor on it is the action slamming back. Bolt action is quieter but I love shooting my buckmark.

My suppressor fits .17 and 22 but don't have a .17 yet. I believe Savage has one with a threaded barrel already that I plan on getting in future.

My suggestion for hogs would be .17 and of course can use same suppressor on 22
January is date of trip. I know last minute but figured can still find a place in January pretty easy.

We have 2 kids under 3 so just looking for a relaxing weekend. I thought about Gulf Shores or even Galveston. I am not shutting out New Orleans but just figured it would be nice to do something different.

One place I was looking at was Grand Hotel Resort and Spa in Fairhope.

I am not one that likes to sit around all day so trying to think of something that can find something to do during the day.
I am looking to take my wife somewhere for her birthday. I am trying to find something within a few hours from Lafayette and will be a good weekend getaway from the kids. Would rather not do New Orleans so looking for other suggestions.

This will be in January.
