This is the road to the driveway. It has never been that underwater in my lifetime. It's a full 2ft deeper than it was for Isaac.

My house was built 30 years ago and it's never been close to flooding. In March we still had a good 20 ft before it hit my doorstep. Right now it's about 5 feet. Stressful shite to deal with. Also power just crapped out and Entergy said Sunday at 10pm is best case scenario

Looking at the weather this morning for Hammond and west we are keeping yall in our prayers. Not sure any place can handle that much rain in 48 hours....

Anyone have any updates?

I've been watching the thread on the OT since 3:30. Today will not be a good day west of us.

I sure wish I could disagree with you but this looks beyond worst case scenario for Hammond and west...

Unreal here. In my life time, I never saw this much water/rain here. I been letting my pond go down all summer which was better then 6' low. That sucker is over flowing this morning. The good thing at this point is, my house is still high and dry. All around, the yard has more then 4"-6" of water.

If anybody needs help and if I can get to you, let me know. I'm in the New Roads area.

Been dumping all morning before 2am.

My plan is to use my backhoe, dig dirt and dump it at the door ways and around the house if need be. I'm very concern now at the rate the rain is coming down and the storm is not moving.

Its getting pretty bad on Dyer in Central, all my neighbors are flooding and the road is covered with water, we tried to evacuate this morning but got turned around because the roads were too bad, my house is on piers so we still have another two and a half feet to go but from what my meterologist friend just told me its not looking good for the water to go down anytime soon.

Where is your house?

As bad as this is and it is pretty bad atleast you got out, a house can be replaced. We can only play with the hand we were delt and if we start worrying ourselves with things that are out of our control then we will add more stress than we already are enduring. My prayers are going out to all of yall and yall please pray for us.

Carencro. It was a dangerous trek to my in-laws. But we had to leave. Got 2 babies to worry about. Stuff can be replaced.

Just talked to my neighbor and the water just reached my shop. Would need to rise another 18" before getting in my house. But it's still rising slowly.
