Parents and grandparents made it out after taking 16" of water. And THAT was supposed to be the safe house down the street...

Total loss, but they're out now!

Boat right now!

Seriously, go to 511la.org i think it is. It has a map of road closures. You could plan your route that way.

Damn, that is nuts. Gonna have some of those boats across the way floating, hope they're tied up.

If anyone on the east side of Hammond needs help, a ride, or a place to stay or store stuff let me know. I'm in Covington

My parents are in Denham and have been flooded in their neighborhood since yesterday afternoon. Just found out their house is flooding. Someone is trying to go get them but don't know how long it will be until someone can get to them.

This is when it's hard being 2500 miles away.

We're trying to get my parents evacuated from their home in Denham. Don't even know if any one can get there. They are off Pete's Hwy. my brother is flooded in and can't get there. Anyone know anyone who can help or what's going on?

If anyone has that periscope app, zoom in on demand springs and there is a guy at a hotel videoing airboats and boats riding down range.

Keep our own Mark Makers and his property in your prayers. He evacuated his house to a another house... now that one needs evacuating. Can only get to him by boat.

I'm afraid this is my parents issue. Only able to get to them by boat and they are few and far between.

My mom is staying calm trying to keep my dad calm. Hoping someone gets to them soon.

Praying for Mark and his family.

CP3 and Jab went out to try to get Doc's grandmother. Current is too swift for the boat, they had to turn around.

We made it a ways down Frenchwomen but current was too strong for my boat
Had to turn back Blackhawks and coastguard are airborne 1 Tons of boats out though
