Not sure if this will be any help but saw this number on OT to call - 225-456-7833... that is for someone with a high water recovery unit that can go to about 7 ft deep. Praying for your parents

90 was shut down in Broussard yesterday. Id assume today is the same

Natalbany River is flowing thru big drainage ditches on our road. Never seen it do that. It's about to go over hwy 22 bridge

Central is basically an island now. I have a good friend that lives off Wax by Demco. They can't get out and may end up at Zoar. I wish they could come here but there is no way into SW miss

DOT is in process of closing I-12 at Amite (Denham Springs)

ETA: per WAFB, Access between EBR and Livingston is now completely cut off

Thanks guys. I was able to reach the central fire dept. so hopefully they can get to them.

The "mailbox is full" for the high water rescue number.

Between your situation and LouisianaLadys parents (in the OT thread) my heart is breaking. LL said that her parents friends got out (which I'm thankful) but their 2 dogs drowned.

Might wanna check before you try to get up that way via BR. 61 in St. Francisville showed to be closed earlier today.

I'm a woman and if they go they're just plain f'ing dumb and stupid and ignorant and inconsiderate. That's all I got. Hwy 90 is CLOSED in MANY MANY SPOTS.

Head to Central if you can, Man. My SIL and 2 of her daughters just walked a few miles in chest deep water to get to FIL's house

61 north is closed at Thompson creek so Natchez is a no go.

I was refering to crossing the Missisppi at Natchez, not heading south on 61

New river projections put the Amite river at 8.5'. That is 4.5' higher than the current level and at the top of the pineapples.

Oh I agree...

latest is they are cruising along with no slow downs...already through gibson and that was 30 minutes ago...

will let everyone know if they make it through or if they have to turn back at some point...
