Anyone been over the Red River today? I'm sure it wont be open for months now.

Keithville is getting pretty bad, any other flooding to be aware of?

The river was high to begin with, they said on the radio there are concerns for sections of Clyde Fant and Arthur Teague flooding out. I've seen it kiss it down by Hamel's Park, but never seen it go over the road.

Just looked at the radar for the first time today.

Think it will affect the fishing in TBend? Going Friday for the first time.

the river flooded pretty bad a few years ago

so much that they had to re make all the biking/running trails in the that strip of woods because the river washed half of it away

think that was like 5 years ago

Yep. That's when it was bumping up to the road. It was crazy to see that much water on the road side of the trees.

Yeah, we've probably got another 2 hours of it today, then chance of rain every damn day this week.

No idea where we're going to put it...

Nah, those are the two N/S parkways that run on each side of the river. If they flood there are plenty of ways around them.

Didn't get it yet. Not even sure if I will. I got this trip on my own dime.

This shite is ridiculous.

I havent been on Clyde Fant near the river, but on Arthur Teague it is over the side across from the poopoo plant with water as far as it can come near the road.

There were 5 Canada geese eating next to the road in that spot yesterday.

The on-ramp at W70th and 3132 was shut down this morning because the bottom half of it is flooded.

If it's still low, they may need Dam repairs.

I believe 1992 or 1993 was the year a lot of things flooded around Shreveport- parts of Broadmoor, off of Pierremont, and some other places that I can remember. Some of the creeks around Greenwood still have high water marks from that flood where apartments/buildings got flooded out.

Got a friend with a family farm on the Bossier side of the river. His dad told us the river was going to be/is the highest since 1991 or 90 or something.

Highly doubt it.

As of today:

Shreveport is at 29 / Flood stage 30

Coushatta is at 31.25 / Flood stage 31

Alexandria is at 27 / Flood stage 32

South Alabama says hello. God apparently decided to drown us and return us to the marsh and turn California back into a desert.

I was at the parking lot next to the Stoner boat launch yesterday watching these idiots go down right on the edge of the bank taking pictures. Guess they don't realize how dangerous that is. With the current that swift, if the ground was to give away, they will not get out of the river alive. I work for the security company that opens and closes Hamels and C. Bickam Dickson park. People were really pissed a couple of weeks ago when Spar wouldn't let up open the park so they could fish. This is definately the highest that I have seen in several years. Flood stage is 30 ft and they are saying that it will not get that high. Suppose to crest today right above 29ft
