Yeah, I'm probably gonna hunt a good bit. Just hope they show up soon and keep coming.

Anyone have any tips on how to hunt teal in an uncut rice field? They already cut it once, trying to get a second crop. This is my first year rice field hunting.

I'm on prairie here in SE Tx, workday last weekend we had 2 big groups. My buddy was scouting Saturday and saw 300 birds moving back and forth from some of our other ponds. I would say if you don't go you won't know.

Lots of rice, cutting on my farm last 3 days and teal still won't leave the area. Thick in the west with the feed

Talked to a guide from the gueydan area and they aren't seeing any. Biologist for the aw told its the fewest he's seen since flying the area.

Larry said this is worse he has seen it since 2006. Said no groups larger than 1000 seen on his flights so far.

All pumped up and no birds. Hell, no water. We need a small TS.

Boat checked out, decoys ready, mojo's charged gun cleaned and oiled, shellbucket loaded.

All dressed up and no place to go.

All this talk is making me lose hope that they are going to show up Saturday morning..

Either way I'll be out there in my shorts and tennis shoes cause its too hot for waders. Hopefully the skeeters don't pick me up
