I don't usually advise off-body carry to my students due to the risks but I realize there's not always an ideal way to carry for a female. You could maybe do a bit more research on carrying for female clothing but just know the risks going in - I read a story years ago of a child accidentally killing his mother after digging in a purse not knowing a gun is in it. Not saying you would do this but there's more than just the risk of the purse being stolen.

Kore Essentials

I absolutely love mine. It's based on the Mission Belt design with the ratcheting belt buckle and gives a ton of adjustability without being a big ugly nylon belt. The nylon belts have their place but if I'm wearing jeans I just want a nice leather belt that blends in.

Kore Essentials saw a YouTube review I did on Mission Belt and sent me a free belt to test and evaluate. I liked it so much I bought another and am about to replace the original one I've used for 6 years. Great company and great products.

I totally realize the danger in that. I never leave my purse in a grocery cart. It is always on me.

At home, my purse is put away. A purse is not the ideal place for a weapon. But the summers are so freaking hot and if your weapon is exposed to sweat, it begins to rust.

Recent new owner as well

I'd say they're not a 100% absolute necessity but I highly recommend them. If you're not carrying a full size metal framed handgun I prefer 1.25" wide as opposed to 1.5" and there's no need for a stiffener with something like a Shield. So you just get a "gun belt" that's looks exactly like a standard leather belt but it's really thick, and it'll fit through dress pant belt loops.

There are plenty of others but those are safe options that you won't be disappointed with.

I have that exact belt from Kore. Can't recommend it enough. I even wear it when not carrying just because it's so dang comfortable. Easily handles my 365 with zero sag.

Carry can be tough for women, especially with a dress. A purse may not be ideal but it's the best of a list of mediocre options in some cases.

A girl at our church, weight about 100lbs soaking wet, wears some sort of belly band under sundresses. You can absolutely see it print but she doesn't really care. I asked her about how fast she could get to it, and she said she figured if she suddenly pulled her hemline up to her neck she'd freeze most guys for at least a second or two.

She's probably right. Carrying in winter is really easy. Summers suck.

Tell her if anyone can see that she's carrying, she loses a great advantage. I don't ever want anyone to know that I carry. That's my little surprise if I need it.
