Some interesting notes

Colt getting into the bolt game again

quote:

Another new rifle introduction, that’s just in time for SHOT 2023, is the Colt CBX. The CBX is a bolt-action chassis rifle that aims for a foothold in the competitive precision rifle market. The new Colt features an aluminum non-folding chassis that’s adjustable for comb height and length of pull. The Chassis has an angled pistol grip, built-in thumb shelf, and QD sling cups; the handguard has an integral ARCA rail and is compatible with aftermarket weights and other accessories. The rifle uses AICS-pattern magazines and has a barricade stop just forward of the magwell.

New Ruger AR with Proof Barrel

quote:

The Ruger MPR with Proof Barrel is chambered in .223 Wylde, a chamber that safely accepts both .223 Rem. and 5.56 x 45mm ammunition. Sometimes pressure issues can occur when trying to fire 5.56mm ammo in a .223 Rem. Chamber, and the Wylde chambering curtails that. The rifle comes with a rifle-length gas tube. It also has a flat-top receiver, free-float aluminum M-LOK-compatible handguard, and both have Picatinny rail along the entire top for mounting optics, flip-up sights, or accessories. This MPR comes with a Magpul PRS Lite stock that’s adjustable for comb height and length of pull to fit the individual shooter. The bolt carrier and gas key are chrome-plated, and the rifle has a two-stage trigger that should break right at 4.5 pounds. MSRP: $2049

It's a CZ600 in a chassis. It looks the exact same. Makes sense since CZ acquired Colt

Looks a lot like a MDT chassis.

The PSA STG 44 coming out is so cool. Apparently it’s going to be over 2k though, but hopefully those prices come down over time… they are offering chamberings in the original 8mm kurz and modern chamberings including 556 and 300 BO.

I hope Proof getting into the big manufacturer game doesn't make their quality or delivery time on prefits suffer.

Savage A22 Takedown

quote:

Savage’s new A22 takedown. While this compact rimfire carbine could ring steel just as well as the regular A22, the A22 takedown breaks down with a simple clockwise twist of the fore-end. All you have to do is unload the gun, lock the bolt to the rear, and you can assemble or disassemble the gun into its two major components. Featuring magazine storage in the stock as well as a top rain and iron sights, this is a lot of value for its price. MSRP: $479

I'm sure Sig has probably released 14 new guns, all of which are probably just different paint schemes of the P320.

Yall lemme know when there's something equivalent to a zastava lk M70 action with a german military mauser 98 trigger and a wincheser model 70 safety available in 338 win mag with a fiberglass stock.

I see Zastava bringing out an underfolding zpap with bayonet lug. PSA got a Krinkov too. Could be a really good year for enthusiasts.

TFB just released a video confirming B&T would be importing “triple digit” numbers of authentic Dragunov rifles, but they are $6,000… need to call up PSA and get them working on this ASAP

Maybe so. I'm waiting for somebody to come out with a classic style model 70 trigger for the new BACO model 70's. I really like the one I have now other than the shitty browning trigger.
