Bapple, if we were to compare my knowledge of kayaks to your knowledge of guns, let's just say that your knowledge would be somewhere in the stratosphere and mine would be trying to dig itself out of a crawfish hole.
Give yourself more credit man. That was a very thorough review. Only thing needed is an outline format.

Kc is great in no wind
Great
In the wind it's tough to paddle
Yea I can see that.
This ascend I'm getting has less freeboard than the old ascends and the fs128T, so I'm hoping that helps it not get pushed around quite as much in the wind.

How much a fully loaded rig like that would cost
Were you asking about what I'm getting or the OP?
The Slayer from the OP $1400 for the boat new plus whatever you wanna spend on stuff for it, another $100 to a few hundred bucks or more if you want to spend more.
If that was asking me the Ascend I ordered, plus all the stuff to rig it up to fish, fish bag, etc all that stuff, is right at $725 before PVC, crate, and some miscellaneous hardware. My budget was $770 and I should end up just shy of that by the time it's all said and done. Now it's just a matter of getting the kayak in and playing with it

Saw the new Ascends today in BPS. They looked pretty badass.

I haven't even seen one in person. Just ordered.
I kinda didn't want to cause I knew I couldn't afford anything else stable enough
I can't wait though

I have the exact same boat that you're getting (same color even). I also have an Old Town 10' Sit-in. The FS12T doesn't get blown around nearly as much as the smaller Old Town.

I think the blue looks pretty good. Any color that makes you stand out on the water. Those little flags are fine, but I'd rather an entire boat that stands out.

Supposedly the lighter the color of the yak, the less sun it absorbs therefore the deck doesn't get as hot. But I'm not sure how valid that is. Just passing the info along. My buddy at work got the same one as you Boats. It is supposed to come in today.
I wish this weather wasn't so messed up. I wanna fish tomorrow but I am afraid it would be a waste of time.

I have a camo ascend, pretty dark boat. I don't ever recall it getting super hot. At least not enough to be a factor.

My first was tan and it never got too hot. My latest is the camo ascend because they didn't make in tan....hasn't been a problem either.
