A compass is never a bad idea

Side note, just looked at dash mount compasses and they aren't cheap for decent ones. Either gonna get a cheap one and hope it works or get a clip on marathon compass for my watch band. Around the same price either way.

The reviews for the cheap dash mount compass I looked at, 30% of them had a complaint in it about the compass being junk because it faced backwards. i.e. north faced south. Idiots can't figure out how you're supposed to read a dash mounted compass

I wouldn't have, but someone on here asked a few days ago if I would review it. So that's about as in depth as I know how to review it haha.
That was me. Thanks again.

I'm gonna try to rig a pole with a 6' 15/16" diameter broom handle I found and some 1" pvc fittings and pipe. The stick should float and I'll probably through some great stuff in the pvc to stop water from getting in and help float. I'm thinking if I can find a 1" double wye and 2 1" wyes and just link em with little sections of 1" pvc I'll have something I can pole with pretty good. Cut the opposite end at and angle and round off the edges a little to stick in the mud easier.

That's a good idea.

Mine are 3/4" but they're pretty tight. The 1" clips should work fine for a 15/16" broomstick I think.

10-4. I didn't know if the sizing was referring to the size it's made to hold onto or the diameter of the opening.

Probably get those, I was trying to find a cheap way to get the pole somewhere other than stuck underneat the bungee on the front tank well.

Is it a pair of clips or just one clip? Can't tell by the description in that link

WORDS, lots of words.
You may have more tied up in that yak than I have in my boat

At a glance it might seem like that haha. I actually got the yak from a friend of a friend that bought it and immediately decided he wanted to go smaller, so I got a super good deal on the boat itself.

I have a knack for doing things cheap ways. For example, I have a 1442 flatboat with a 23hp Copperhead on it, but during the summer the mud motor comes off and a 25 yamaha and a wakeboarding tower go on .

Ah my bad. I have two of them. If you order from ACK they're sold individually.

Looks like everywhere they're sold individually, in that case it's cheaper to order from ACK. I can get well nuts at any hardware store I'm assuming right?

Gonna make a home depot run for a bunch of stuff on my way to go pick up the yak from BPS when it gets in.

For the DIYers wanting to attach things to a gear track system, toilet flange bolts fit in there perfectly at around $2 a pair
