I called Precision today and asked why the hell, its been 10 days. They just said they had not heard back re the wait, so could not release the guns.

What is the fed source/document that says they CAN release/sell the gun after 3 days ?

I mean shite they have my 2 guns that I have already paid for. Yes I did see them, NIB.

What is their reasoning for that law? If you have to wait for 3 days maybe you want go shoot someone if you think about it a few days? And if you are trading one in then you already have one you could use to murder with therefore you can take one home with you that day?

I think that is exactly their reasoning. What good would a 3 day 'cooling off period' if you own one and could just as easily rampage with the one you have at home... if you could find ammo.

So if you don't have a permit and trade one in, I guess they figure you already waited for the gun you currently own. I guess.

Good stuff Keng, I will have this doc on Precisions counter in the AM.

I will see what they have to say, If not good I will politely tell them that Precisions release actions are not as per law, and it will be posted on all local, national gun related web sites.

Fed docs says a FFL CAN release after 3 days if no word from Papa govt.

Precision says they will NOT release ANY without a clear.

Background check app expires after 30 days. SO if the OBammma frickers dont provide a clear in 30 days, I can have the guns transferred to another FFL that will release after a 3 day wait.

If you are always getting delayed, you should apply for an upin. That way you never get delayed again. I dont know how long it takes to get now, but it was about 6 months a year or two ago.

Can you just cancel your deal w/ Precision and complete the same transaction w/ a different dealer? The seller would prolly understand your plight and be supportive of changing to a different dealer.

the law says if they dont hear back after x days they can release it. however some places have policy that states they will only release with a "proceed". Academy being one of them
