Let us know how the biopsy turns out if you don't mind

I've been dipping for 12 yrs now and realize I need to stop but I'm a weak weak person. I've tried to quit multiple times but no such luck. I haven't been to the dentist in 4 yrs because I don't feel like hearing him tell me how bad dipping is for me.

I'm going next Wednesday to do the biopsy. My little girl just turned 1 and the Mrs keeps throwing her in my face also. i set the date for next Friday. That'll be it for. I'll pull this back up and let y'all know the results.

ETA: The sand hygienist has been seeing my mouth for the last 10 years. She knows my mouth. 2 weeks ago when I went for a cleaning a new chick handled up on me. I think she's just overreacting.

Do it before you get on the control board. I tried quitting while on the board and it made me miserable, other than that gum, sunflower seeds, etc.

I truly loved Copenhagen. As a coach, if I was at practice or during games, I had to have it. Also after a good meal, working in the yard etc. Probably took my first dip in 4th grade. But like tiger7166 said, the kids made me put it down. I didn't want to be that guy who's kids were embarrassed of because I didn't have a jaw or bottom lip. Put it down cold turkey one day as I was sitting in my chair with a big dip watching them play. Didn't substitute anything, just quit. Still miss it to this day, but some things are more important. If you are strong-minded it's not so bad.

Chewing on match sticks helped me quit smoking and dipping. That plus not being a pansy and letting a fricking chopped up weed rule my life.

Years ago I tossed a half full can in the garbage, and never looked back.

Get your doctor to prescribe Chantix. Try nicotine gum/patches too. Good luck

Smoky Mountain, gum, sunflower seeds, and my personal favorite was Hot Peanuts. That really helped a lot, fit nicely where a chaw would have.
Also be especially careful when you drink, I smoked cigars on nights I got real drunk to take the edge off without caving in to the can

Eta: toothpicks too

I quit back in November and dipped for almost 30 years. Its been tough. Here is what got me to quit.

1. Make up your mind that dipping is now a thing of your past, otherwise it is going to destroy your future.

2. Get Smokey Mtn snuff or the all natural mint leaves dip to use for about 2 - 3 weeks. The combination of it satisfying the oral fixation and the taste being terrible makes you not want to be on it long. Stick with this for 2-3 weeks to allow the nicotine to get out of your system and set your mind in the right direction.

3. This is the most important thing for me. When you go to the gas station, do not go inside the store. If you go in, you see it and its easy to cave. Stay outside, gas your car, and roll on.

Good luck. It can be done. I'm pulling for you.

Chantix Overview - Patient Information: Side Effects. Nausea, headache, vomiting, drowsiness, gas, constipation, trouble sleeping, unusual dreams, or changes in taste may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

I had some crazy dreams. My own personal little movies every night.

My cousin had a bad experience with chantix. Never once considered it.
Anyone ever tried the coffee ground dip? Tobacco and nicotine free. Thinking that might be a good idea.

Giving that a shot. Thanks fellas

Tell your boyfriend to spit it out before you kiss him then.

Snus tobacco is reportedly much, much healthier than regular dip. Pure tobacco IIRC.

Good luck - it was hard, hit up Walmart and get some smokey mountain straight or wintergreen

Is their any cons to this stuff? Would seem as you wanted an oral fixation throughout this wouldn't harm your body if you did it for a lifetime?

So I've heard. I decided on the "coffee chew". Coffee can't taste that bad.

Update when it comes in. Saw it on shark tank where it was made by two college baseball players.
