Need a new axe

The old wooden handle finally broke. Should I replace with new handle, new wooden handle axe or new synthetic handle axe? Have a few more days of splitting to do. Thanks.

I bought a Ryobi Electric (110 volt) log splitter from Home Depot for $199 6-7 years ago. Haven't picked up my maul since.
