quote:100% this. You can get an SUV to try and replicate a minivan for a family vehicle, but it will be less practical, get way worse gas mileage, and drive worse, all for at least 2x the cost. Unless you're towing, taking it in the woods a lot, or have a vanity issue too big to overcome, this is the way.
Minivan is what you are looking for.
Won't break the bank.
Gets 28 mag
Comfortable as shite.
On my second.

I have baby #3 on the way and floated this out to my wife and she's in. There's a couple south of us in Bee Caves that we are going to look at soon and I can't wait.

I also recommend a Ford Expedition. I’ve owned three and keep coming back.

Man a brand new excursion on the current F250 frame/driveline would be so awesome
I wish they’d make it again. But you know if they did it would start at $103k

I have an Expedition Max for 5 years now. 90k miles. No real issues with it. Plenty of space, no need to use the roof rack or hitch rack which is a huge plus.
But the Suburban and Yukon XL are now slightly longer. And I will say that although I didn’t like the suburban seat ergonomics when I was buying, every time I ride in a suburban or Yukon I feel like it is much nicer than my expedition in terms of ride/comfort.

I don't need to carry 6 but if I did our choice would be a Sequoia

2002 Excursion 7.3L 4x4
$29K, 100K miles. Immaculate condition. It's in New Hampshire. With unimited funds, I'd buy his thing tormorow.
