Every bed I've gotten for my lab he's chewed it to pieces. Need a good bed that is indestructible. I was looking at the Deluth Trading dog bed made of fire hose material - anyone have this one? Something similar?

Part II: Also need a good backseat mat for the truck. Tired of the clumps of hair in the hard to reach places. Advice on these is welcome too.

I had the same problem with my catahoula. I ended up finding a very durable one at Ross made by a company called R2P. After a test run I bought a second for the house and one for the camp. All 3 are still working unscathed. They come in red or grey. Pretty inexpensive too.

Is he bored or anxious?

Might be a way to address the chewing.

I got a bed and backseat cover from K9 ballistics and have been pleased.

Getting a new bed will help, because your old beds have been chewed up.

But get to the root of the problem. Your dog is either bored, stressed or not receiving enough exercise.

My guess is if you exercise him until he can't go anymore, the destructive chewing will go away.

K9 Ballistics makes a great and tough dog bed.

The chewing occurred when he was a puppy. Went thru 4 beds. Been two years and he's done terrorizing my house for the most part so I figured I'd get him a bed again.

My pup would do the same. I switched both of them to Coolaroo Cots. They have held up for over a year. I throw a small fleece blanket on top, and just wash or replace when the fleece gets dingy. They are like $25 bucks on Amazon and come in a few different colors.

My doberman doesn't chew, but the dumbass digs at his bed to try to arrange it the way he wants. I don't think I've ever found a bed that has lasted a year. Just got him a new one yesterday.

This is the bed I've bought the last two times. It's held up about as well as any for my dog. I'm not sure it would work as well for chewers, because of the corner seams. But the material is pretty tough.

My golden did the same thing over and over again. I got him a big cheap dog bed from Costco and he loves it, does not try to chew it.

Not my dog but the bed is the same

I think its around $40

Had the same problem with my lab. Bought this bed and she hasn't damaged it yet. I got the XL (52") but definitely could've gotten a size smaller, and my lab is pretty big (a tall, slender blonde weighing in at 64 lbs).
