Some people call that stain "blue pine stain" and sell it double what clear pine sells for.

Heavy, not yep. Got another trip tomorrow back to New Orleans tomorrow to pick up a shite load of shrimp. Now once I get the top done, then it will be heavy. Talbe top will be 72"x48", or about that. It will be 1 7/16" thick. They are all done, just need to join them together.

Todays appointment was ok. Higher dose of meds. Good thing, nothing added.

Got back home and went help install some controls on a party barge that my SIL been redecking. Dang thing is 16'x32' double decker. Big money people that live on False River.

After a very bad night and getting out of bed before 4am, I had to craw back in for a couple hours. So, a late start to my day.

Got a little done on the table done today. Was trying to get the end legs done. So so there.

Got as far as this and had to call it quits.

Sucks getting old and hurting all the time.

Looks great Fish! Hope the shot and new meds get you working on it more regular.

On a mortise that big have to do a lot of it by hand I suspect? I have grown to love making mortise and tenons.... It keeps me from having to use a hammer!

Having a good set of big drill bits is a must. Well, you still have to use a wood hammer.

To help keep my chisels sharp, I glue some 200 grit wet sand paper on a piece of glass. A few passes now and then take care of them.

When I install the top 45's, I will use the same blocking. Then I will drill thru the top and bottom of the 45's for a peg in the center area.

Got a table top almost done. Just need to add the end pieces. Note how I went about being able to clamp the live edge without damaging it.

Got about 20 Four foot clamps. Was just to lazy to go buy a few pieces of pipe 6' long.

Got the ends on. Just need to trim them and add some pegs. Had to have SIL come by with his helper to bring the top inside. Heavy SOB.

Passed a router on the main piece setting it back 1 1/2" back and 3/4"/mid way thru. Then took the outside board and pass it on the table saw and cut the difference out of one end. It's glued and screwed from under. Will also be adding some pegs.

Nice job bro. I still haven't finished mine yet. I need to get a woman I know to make me some star stickers on her machine and finish it.

To help fix that, you need to sticker the boards. Put some 1"x1" stickers in between each board level with the cup side up. Add a shite load of weight on top. Lightly wetting them will help. Let dry after.

That table top is made out of 12 1/2" boards, 4 of them. Total cost for the table $16. Could of made my own pegs, just wasn't up to it.
