Are both sides finished?

Now that you have it finished, only thing would be fire.
In the future using T&G. Look at the end grains of the boards. Stagger each "end grain cup". That helps some times keeping them from warping. Also adding a extra mid way strap would help.
Been working on my camp. Got my sliding door hung in the bathroom. Came out sweet.
Today I will start building the kitchen island. Planed out a shite load of oak boards for this and a shite load for trimming the wainscoting. Mt little Dewalt planner has been working over time.

For updates, check that link I posted.

Steam it, then clamp it down to cure. Not a guarantee, but it can fix warps.

How important is it? I would just make kindling.

What kind of finish is on it? And what type of wood did you use?

That might be my next step.

Just had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago but my girl and her DIY shows pushed me to redo our fireplace area with some flooring and a faux solid mantle made from a box of pine. I think it turned out pretty decent, considering I did it with one and a half arms LOL

My wife stumbled upon some older, all wood plantation shutters that sort of fit our windows. They're 3x5, and our windows measure between 39-40 inches wide. I'm guessing this is a standard size and I'm going to have to make a box inside the window to mount the shutters too.
I'm basically going to need 1.875 inches on either side, and a smaller piece of trim at the top. Plan is to attach it to the sill at the bottom and along the wood on the sides of the window to create a box. Then just screw them in place. Any ideas/suggestions on what to look for when I go buy wood?
A 1x2 isn't wide enough, but is just about perfect other than that. Do any of the big box stores carry true 1x2 and not dimensional? I can always get a 1x6 and trim it down on my table saw, but looking to make as few cuts as possible.

Wife wanted a play table from pottery barn
Built the same damn thing for 1/10th the price, just need her to decide what paint or stain she wants.
BTW, anyone else hate that damn store?

Try a local lumber yard, you'll probably have to get hardwood instead of pine. It would probably be much easier and cheaper to just buy a 1x6 and rip it.

That's what I'm thinking. I'll just need 4 of them, and I can set it up and rip one side then the other, so at least I have a good clean edge to mount to. I'm also thinking I need a fresh blade on my table saw and now is a good time to get one. At least a finishing type blade instead of what is on there now.

Blades make a huge difference. I use Freud*, theres better but i'm not that good of a woodworker to worry.

Why yes, yes i do.

Thanks. I mostly use it to rip 4x8 ply down to smaller sizes. It was my dads saw that I borrowed and he just told me to keep it. Still has the original blade in it but I need to get a few different ones now that I'm using it more.

Built little Booux a swingset as I hated the flimsy cedar ones and this prob took less time to build from scratch than to put the billion pieces together.

Neighborhood wasps will thank you for their new shelter. Until you set them on fire.
