2022 F150 stock 18” wheels 4WD leveled front. Rear end is starting to droop when trailering or couple 100 lb load.

How to correct? Bags, progressive shocks, blocks…. Not interested in lift or larger tires. I rarely trailer anything over 3000 lbs

Edit: original shocks have always sagged a little when loaded. 144k on them now so they sag more.

I put Roadactive Suspension on my last truck which was an F150. Did it to help with squat while towing camper but never towed after I got it installed. It did help quite a bit when the bed was loaded down with deer corn etc. Installed myself and was not expensive

Might be time to change shocks out.

Shocks dont really hold anything.

Usually a sagging truck is worn out body mounts or spring bushings. In this case, its just a lightly sprung truck. Only thing to help this is less weight or more spring. Air bags are ok.

It’s going to squat a little, that’s part of the reason for the rake. You could install a slightly larger lift block on the rear to help counteract it. I also recommend Bilstein 5100 shocks for the rear, it will help for sure.

When I leveled my Sierra, I put 2” lift blocks in the rear to maintain a slight rake. The Bilsteins also helped reduce the amount of sag with a light load.

Leaf spring replacement is probably not worth the trouble unless you plan to keep it for a long time. At least that’s the case for my Sierra.

That's what they are supposed to do. It's more noticeable because you have the front end leveled. If you didn't have the towing package (with the extra leaf) then the leaf springs you have kind of suck. You can change the leaf springs to something more heavy duty, or they have where you can add a leaf, but I have heard mixed results on just adding one.

Ford body mounts have been known to deteriorate pretty dam fast. I know from personal experience with an F250 super duty.

I put rough country air bags on my 2020 F150 for the same reason. It works great when you have any sort of load.

Absolutely makes the unloaded ride rougher but if you don't mind it, do it

It rides like an HD truck and not a caddy

Have a2” level on a 2020 f-150. Towing the boat or side by side plus a load in the bed of ice chest made the rear end squat too much for me. I went with the air bags. Although I’ve had a slow leak from the beginning they work well.

No real help for your rear end sagging. However, while driving on I-10 this past Saturday morning in the Metairie area I spotted my first Carolina Squat pickup heading west around Causeway.

It was a black Silverado and looked absolutely ridiculous. Couldn't get a look at the driver since his windows were tinted so dark it looked like they were painted black.

shocks

Shocks don't determine ride height. They slow down the movement.

You probably need to look at new leaf springs or even upgrade to heavier leaf springs.

FYI, your truck came with 4 options on leaf springs depending on towing capacity.

2021 and newer
