Actually, in Louisiana, he may well have been. In Texas, he may not have been.

I'm fairly certain the OP would think of that law about as much as I would. Take all the shite my wife and I have worked for, and I'm sending you a hot metal message.

I'm all for these thieving bastards meeting an untimely demise, however, many posters do not seem to understand either criminal or civil law. As much as you'd like to, and as much as they may deserve it, you may face serious legal repercussions (in LA) if you shoot some a-hole outside of your home in defense of property.

The responding officer told the OP that if he would have went out and started firing, he would be in some shite.

Being this is my Brother... I am a little glad he slept through it.

Whether it's legal or not, they deserve bullets flying in their direction and lightning bolts dropping down upon them.

Coarse you'd need help with the lighting bolts.

They deserve more than they will ever get unless it is a bullet to the head.

I could have swore I heard my door knob jiggling when I sent 50 rounds at them; would have been my story.

Sucks to have anything stolen. I had a car broken into once at my condo while I was inside and once at my office in broad daylight. Both times they broke out my window. I think it was the neighbor kid's friends at the condo. Guy was out of town and his daughter had a party. No way I could prove it.

Nobody saw anyone get into the car at my office, but a lady came and told me my alarm was going off afterwards. One other time a lady left the door unlocked and the homeless people got a blanket, a backpack I took to Rangers games and some change.

Seems louisiana tries to find every reason to incarcerate everyone. Most incarcerated state of the most incarcerated country for a reason.

Pathetic all you can do to defend your household, is to run out and make a mean face.

Grew up in the 3rd ward of New orleans, one time my car was broken into and my stereo system was taken. I was literally impressed that the thief didn't break my window and had enough consideration to lock my door back.

The pr*ck that broke my window didn't get anything except for the detachable face of my stereo. I had to get another one because he tore the old one up trying to pry it with a tire tool or something. The whole time he's doing this my alarm is going off about 10 cars away from a seven story building full of people. Got a guy's stereo from the parking lot across the street. This was at Mockingbird and I-35 in Dallas.

I sat at the cross lake public launch on a Sunday afternoon years ago and had a conversation with these two democrats.

Took off on the jet ski for 30 minutes or so, come back to no stereo system. Never been so posses in my life. Full park that day and no one saw a thing. We're talking at least 50 other cars.

Being stole from sends me into an orbit of rage I've Never felt before. Very little you can do about it.

Hope the insurance company makes you whole...plus some.

Not to be a stickler, but your house was not robbed - it was burglarized. Robbery requires force and burglary does not.

Sorry about losing all your shite though.

Locks/chains etc. are worthless. As they say, locks just keep the honest thief out. I know several people, that have had motorcycles and ATV's stolen that where inside a locked building and pad locked inside the building. A grinder with a cutoff wheel is through that in <20 seconds.

Locks definitely can give you a false sense of security. I had one of these locks on a boat trailer once, and ended up loosing the key. With a hacksaw it took about a minute to cut it off. I know it's not the most hard core lock out there, but it's one of the more common ones.
