drain my water separator weekly if I had a CP4
In a 2019 model I should be doing this?

Eh. Maybe more like monthly depending on how much you drive. The 2019+ fords have much better filters than the older ones did. Make sure you use OEM fuel filters and change them regularly.
It is possible to do more bad than good, since draining introduces air to the system which is also horrible for the HPFP. Make sure you're familiar with the priming proceedure.

I wonder if should look into joining the class actions for the 5.3 AFM and 6L80 transmissions.
Not sure how any of that shite works but frick GM.

Happens too often. That $15k repair is one of the reasons people shy away from diesel and move to gas 3/4 ton.
I don't think you're in a horrible spot though, $15k in repairs with a delete and tune then you can run that for another 150k miles easily....if you want that truck.

i agree with that. ill have the disaster prevention kit installed, delete, tune, new 56gal tank, all new fuel system, new batteries, read diff resealed, engine block resealed, lots of work on the truck. it should be ready to roll for another 100k-200k miles.

Yep had a 2017 F250. Buddy had same year as me and ended up in a similar situation as OP. I sold mine and driving a 21 Silverado 2500 6.6 gas burner and couldn’t be happier. I can pull anything the F250 could just don’t get the MPG.
It’s definitely cheaper to run gas unless you’re constantly hauling 13-15K lbs.

Here is a good video on the DCR pump I was talking about earlier. Seems like the body of this pump has been around awhile and they just modified the case to work with the 6.7.
I will be ordering one for my truck soon.

Man y’all have me nervous about my 2012 after reading through this thread. Currently have 200k miles on mine

id stop by a diesel shop and ask for them to check the fuel sample.

Some of them live forever, but if I were you I'd be looking to sell it. Used truck prices are higher than ever, especially HD diesels.
I couldn't bring myself to get a powerstroke because of the fuel pump. Shame, because literally everything else about the truck is great. The lurking possibility of a $15k fuel pump repair talked me out of it though.
The failure rate is supposedly well under 1%, but the real failure data is probably fords best guarded secret.

Had my front wheel bearings changed about six months ago and it drives like new. Cab bushings and shocks are next on the list. Potholes are teeth shattering these days.

I've been meaning to do the disaster prevention kit and just keep putting it off. I make sure to change my fuel filters every 10,000 miles and stay on top of maintenance but burning up a fuel pump is always a worry for me.
Whatever you do make sure you're not replacing the cab bushings with factory, or else those will wear out in short time as well. I went with the S&B silicone mounts and swapped them out myself because I'm a cheap bastard.

i've done cab bushings already.
are wheel bearings totally different than rotors?

Yes, the entire hub gets replaced. I DIYed mine as well and it's a fairly extensive job, there's a couple specialty tools needed and it involves removing the axle shaft out of the axle housing to complete. Mine started making a high pitched squeal at interstate speed so that's how I knew they were needing attention.

My front end had started shaking violently at certain speeds. Smoothed out after replacing.

Might as well do the ball joints when you’re in that far baw.
