I thought I would share this here since my father was an avid Bass fisherman and mechanic who passed both passions along to me.

This morning, my Mom was doing her chores and was vacuuming the room that he last used as his hospital room. Sitting right on the floor was a Allen wrench that she said she had never seen before. It was just a very well used Allen wrench that was from his tool box. Old, very well used and greasy.

He was just checking in from above to wall everything is alright.

Keep his memory alive. I lost mine in 2010 and think about him every day.

My father passed just a few months ago and I can still hear his voice. He was an incredible dad and I hope I can be half the man he was because he was a special man!

Yep. He will always be with you. Still hurts, doesn't it?

My grandmother leaves me little "reminders" on a regular basis.

Lost mine in March of 18. I can't believe it's been 3 years already. I feel like I just saw him a few weeks ago. I miss him dearly.

Best wishes to all you Baws who have lost a father. I was going through a couple of picture albums of my Dad today and picked one of his Pastoral Books up containing some of his sermons. He reached out from Heaven today. The 1st sermon in this particular one was about, “Honor thy Mother and Father”. Appropriate for these post as we are still honoring them today!

Lost mine in September of 1994. Still think of him regularly. He was a hell of an outdoorsman. Wish I could fish and hunt half as good as him. Love you dad

Pass on the love for outdoors to the youngins you have around, my dad was a huge reason I love the outdoors and I know he would have kept passing on the love to his grandkids

Lost mine in 1971 when I was 9. This January was 50 years.
Still think about him most days.

He was a great dad as well as a kind and gentle soul. Named my youngest son after him. I am sad none of my kids ever met him. His namesake will be graduating from LSU this fall, I'm amazed how much his personality reminds me of my dad, he is kind and gentle just like him.

Keep your dad in your heart buddy, share your memories of him as best you can with your kids if you have any.

My oldest remembers him well and talks about him often. He’s 17 and never really had a grandfather after he was 6 years old. I hate that but it’s the cards we were dealt. I’m proud of the man he is becoming and the time my dad got to spend with him helped shape that.

That is awesome dude.

I realize now that my dad's death helped make me the person I am, specifically many of the things that people say are good about me. They spring from my desire to be like my dad.

Mine passed 14 years ago and not a day goes by when something doesn't trigger a thought.

My dad was a crappie fishing mad man, travelled all over chasing them Toledo Bend, Larto, D'arbonne.

We had fresh caught crappie to eat for 40 years with some sweet corn and peas man I miss that shite.

God Bless You

My dad drowned in Grand Isle while saving his grandson. I fished with him that morning for the last time. I have many great memories and remember a lot of sage wisdom from that tough mfer. He was a man’s man that got the job done

Lost Dad in ‘08 and Mom in ‘09, four months apart. Incredibly difficult time. I can still smell the Old Spice and whatever perfume it was Mom wore. There are things around here that I keep to remind me of them both.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost mine on 1/30/2016. I still haven't deleted his number from my phone. I think about him every day. Our church asked my 15 year old son to help in the audio/video room and he said, heck yeah that's what my grand dad did for his church. Not gonna lie i teared up.

Same here. Lost mine to a sudden heart attack when he was way too young. Happened in November of 2014.
