I like Muck boots well enough, but prefer Lacrosse. But what I really like is these Muck Shoes. They're light and super quiet. You can slip thru woods like Injun.

quote:I pre-ordered a pair for myself and my son at the NWTF convention. I hoped to get them before turkey season ended but that didnt happen. These things are like tall crocs without holes in them. I cant wait to see what they do. I am just a little concerned with the durability but for 70 bucks, I am going to give them hell.

My kid has those too. He loves them...wears them to cut the grass and do shite around the yard. Matter of fact they're about worn out and he needs a new pair.

Thanks for the head's up. I'm about to order both of us a pair.

I work inside most days but if it’s raining, I’ll wear these just getting to and from the office. They look more like an office shoe than a rain boot, which is good for me.
They are also my “around the camp” shoe when I’m not in the woods.

Muck Wetlands. They roll down for summer time and assist in tucking jeans into boot. When up they are waterproof to bottom of knee. The soles do come unglued after a year to two years of heavy use. I've just glued them back on with shoe glue and gotten another year or so out of them. Been buying new part every 2-3 years....by then the neoprene is torn up anyway.

Mocks are super comfortable but look for the soles to peel back after year two. I’m on Irish Settlers. Same comfort but more durable. Highly recommend.

Ive gone through multiple pairs of mucks through the years but when its time to replace them Im going to the lacross alphaburly. They it much better around the ankles. Mucks are comfortable in the stand and have performed well, but walking sucks compared to the lacross.

Roper makes a midcalf boot that is comfortable and pretty damn durable. I wear them year round in the mornings to feed horse and clean stalls. Anything that can hold up in horse piss is good IMO and these definitely do that. They’re the same style as Muck boots, but cheaper. But they hold up better IMO. Muck soles wear out too quickly. Lacrosse are great for winter, but too damn hot the other 9-10 months in La.
