No way you can fert and squirt your yard for $10. Unless he means extra $10 per month or something
$10 extra Spring Treatment
$10 extra Fall Treatment
If I need extra attention, I'll buy whatever needs to be used and do that myself.

From May until late September, at least once a week to stay on top of it. I've also found myself cutting grass 5 times a month if the rainfall is fairly steady since it grows so damn fast in those conditions.
In the dead of winter, or what passes for winter in New Orleans, maybe once or twice a month since at that time of year it is the weeds that grow much quicker than the grass and it looks like crap.
My best guestimate is between 35-40 times a year I cut the grass.

$90 to mow my yard? is this real? Is that what you ballers are paying to not cut your grass?
If it keeps me from getting nailed in the dick by rocks...
Seriously, though, the amount of weed-eating that has to be done is likely what's driving up my quotes. I am curious if cleaning up the side yard so a rider can get to the back will help me some.

Let me get your guy's number. I think I need to just start approaching lawn crews working in my neighborhood and see if they want to quote me.
Where do you live?
If it's in his area, I'll ask if he's taking new customers

6 pages and 5 days have passed since the op. but here's my .02. Go on FB marketplace, find a smaller zero turn for around $1K. See if you want to cut it. If not, turn around sell it, hire it out.

I mow March - October. Weekly (at least) during the summer months. That’s dependent on the weather.
This for me too. Right now with the heat and rain I can see my grass growing.

I am debating the same issue. I just bought a new home with over an acre and a fair amount of landscaping. I'm going to let the guy who's been cutting it finish out the year, but I think the economics of it will push me to do it.
