Louisiana can keep responding by increasing out of state fishing licenses.

I like all the guys who act like MS has some incredible conservation program, when in reality they just have more deer habitat and less hunters.

Meanwhile there's a thread about La's "doe days"

wtf is a "doe day"? Its like they have terrible leadership in their wildlife dept or something. Good thing their fishery dept makes good decisions though!

Maybe a special income tax on non residents working in Louisiana?

It’s stupid how many coonasses hunt ms. I see more la plates in ms then I see ms plates. And yes I’m one of them. Heck, I even get aggravated seeing la plates there!

Chest deep swamp water, trillions of skeeters. Thats why I hunt MS. I’m also from south LA where majority of hunters who flock to ms are from.

The dang dog hunters from tickfaw, amite, Kentwood area. Hunt national forest cause ms hasn’t banned it yet due to missing out on $ from those buzzards also.

Yeah, it isn't $300

The Sportsman's license which covers everything is $570+ with fees.

just a big game license is $300. Have to add $100 deer permit to hunt deer.
If you want to use a primitive weapon, that is another $75 those don't include the fees.

I'm talking about Louisiana out of state. It's $200 for Basic Hunting and $100 for your deer tags. That covers archery, primitive, and rifle. You do have to pay another $50 for Turkey tags.

Do you think land owners should have to pay over $500 in licenses even after paying all the other shite?!?! Like property taxes and such?

I bought a native non resident lifetime so I don’t have to bother anymore

Lots of ground in north LA that can be hunted without non-resident tags.

True and I did it years ago but not driving 3+hours every Friday evening.

I’ll take that money I’m saving on gas and buy the $500+ lic once a year

To hunt private in those places you either need to have money, be buddies with money, or have long held family property. The latter is getting rarer and rarer as land values increase and some members of the family just want to cash in.

This thread reminds me I have to pay that before Saturday.

My 160 acres costs about $650 a year in taxes, whether I hunt or not. Should a New Orleanean realy get a resident licenses just because he invested in MS timberland? If I ever move to the camp, I will get the resident license.

Plus, I can't seem to stay off of the National Forest next door.

Happy hunting y'all.

Just don’t buy one. It seems like the first offense is cheaper than the license. If you make it through one year, you are in the black. No reason landowners should have to buy non-resident.
