Observed a big increase in numbers here in SELA. shite hit the fan at dusk groups of 100+ lighting in the marsh at a time all greys, pins, cans, wigeon. Anyone else notice an increase on their place? I think this front worked some magic for us.

I'm headed to Stuttgart tomorrow morning. I'm going to let the deer rest a hot minute and kill a few bug ducks.

Get them while they’re here. Forecast is for the 80s again by weeks end.

We had 3 in the blind from daylight until about 10:45. Then, as soon as the wind picked up, ducks were everywhere. By 11:30 we had our limit. Let’s hope tomorrow will be just as good!

Of course they're here now while the season is closed. It'll be back 80° by midweek and they will be gone again before Saturday...

Saw more ducks friday at my area in bayou black than I’ve seen in many many years. Not sure the vegetation will sustain the amount of birds in the area. Not only ringnecks, but huge concentrations of bwt, wigeon , canvasback and redheads.

Went deer hunting yesterday and right at daylight when I was walking to my stand I saw at least 150 wood duck, coming in droves. I have never seen so many wood ducks on this property. I hope that translates to plenty in Delacroix for Saturday opener.

I've been told the same. I haven't hunted my spot in OG in a few years but was sent a video a couple weeks ago that supports your claim. Lots of good ducks.

Not that is probably helps anybody in LA but SE TX marsh around Anahuac got a huge push on Saturday with this front. Lots of Greys, Widgeon, and GW Teal.

Our issue is water in NELA. I've tromped all over Ouachita Parish (Sage, Upper and Black Bayou) and just can't find water. Glad to hear at least someone is seeing them.... hopefully we will see them soon too

Been hearing geese fly over all day the past few days in CenLa. Haven't noticed that since I was a kid and duck hunting was really good. Hopefully the cold front will have everyone into some birds.

Does that mention of Sage include Wham? It has water. It might be a Charlie Foxtrot out there but I know it has water. Btw, Upper Ouachita has water too and so does D'Arbonne.

Slight exaggeration.... I should've clarified:
Russell Sage: Bean Fields have no water, Pintail Alley has no water, South to Petticoat Bayou has no water.
Upper Ouachita: South End has enough water for maybe one group to hunt in. North End is similar.
D'Arbonne: Haven't checked it out yet but since its a lake that holds water 24/7,365 then maybe that's where I need to go.

I was referring to the refuge part on D'Arbonne which is on the bayou side and not the lake, although I guess that could be an option.
As for Upper Ouachita, you must be talking about Mollicy. Yes, I imagine it is dry. The other side of the river even while low has some areas to hunt if you know how to find them.

Ya, I'm only talking about the East Side of the river. We used to put in at Alabama Landing and hunt the West side, but I haven't been out that way in years. Gonna got take a look at Darbonne Lake.
